Q: 1. Hi, I have the Samson xpd1, is this similar? My Samson is connected via usb and has a wire pack but the usb is in the computer. How we I keep having my audio go out during my course recording so I’m looking for a solid mic that will save me headaches of recording and not being able to use it. Thank you.

A: This mic is a headworn mic to connect to a wireless transmitter, and will not solve your issue, which . may be interference, which is a product of the wireless system and its limitations, not the actual microphone. If you require a wireless system with more range, and less likely to experience interference, you may have to upgrade to another system, such as the Samson AirLine 99m AH9 Wireless UHF Fitness Headset System (D: 542 to 566 MHz), BH #SAW9A9SQED, which operates in UHF, and gives you 100 frequencies to choose from. This system will be more reliable, and would require a converter cable, such as the Roland Black Series 1/4" Male to USB Type-A Cable, BH #RORCC10US14, to connect to the USB port of your computer.

Q: 2. Will this fit an MXL BCD-1?

A: I'm not sure that it will because the MXL-BCD-1 doesn't have a threaded end where the XLR cable plugs in. The way the mic is held into this mount is using a threaded washer. If you look at the Rode Procaster Mic (ROPROCASTER), you can see how there is a treaded washer at the end where you would mount into the shockmount. The BCD-1 has that additional bracket that almost replaces the need for a shockmount. Not sure this is the right product for the mic you have.

Q: 3. Compatible with EW 100 G2?

A: Yes it is with the 3.5mm connector.

Q: 4. Will the Audio Technica 2020 fit in this?

A: No

Q: 5. will this work with at Sennheiser SK-XSW BODYPACK TRANSMITTER?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser HSP4 Headworn Microphone is compatible for use with Sennheiser SK-XSW Bodypack Transmitters.

Q: 6. would this be useful for the Rode PodMic? I know the PodMic has a "built in" shock mount of some sort, but I could use more isolation. Not sure if it would fit in there, though. Thanks.

A: No. This would be incompatible with the pod mic,

Q: 7. does this have the four pin connector?

A: The Provider Series PSM3 Heavy-Duty Dual-Ear Headworn Microphone (Audio Technica cH, Tan) features a 3-pin CH connector for Audio Technica wireless transmitters.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with Sennheiser AVX system?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Will fit Samson G Track Pro?

A: No. You want the Samson SP04. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1434449-REG/samson_sasp04tb_sp04_spider_shock_mount.html

Q: 10. HI, CANI USE IT AS A WIRED MIC CONNECTING A FEMALE EP CONNECION TO IT? I CAN SAVE COST OF TE TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER. THE SPEAKER IN OUR SHOW IS STATIONARY AT ONCE SEAT.

A: To use the Sennheiser HSP-4 headset mic as a wired mic requires a special adapter. The HSP-4 is a condenser mic and requires a bias voltage thats normally provided by a wireless transmitter. The Sennheiser MZA-900-P adapter has a 1/8 mini jack on one end for the mic connection, and a male XLR plug on the other end for a standard XLR mic cable; 48-volt phantom power is required. The combination works great, by the way.

[Plug-In Power] I am a pastor that wears glasses. This has been a real blessing. Prior to this purchase I literally taped the ear piece of my old head set to my glass earpiece to keep in place. Thank you for this design. Game changer.

[Omnidirectional] This is a great headset -- my only complaint is that my earrings sometimes make noice with the microphone. So I need to wear smaller earrings :-)

[Tan] This mic has excellent sound. We have an AT mic of the same design, and it's a great mic. This one is even a little better and is half the cost. No noise, amazing clarity, and comfortable. Will likely be buying more.

[Omnidirectional] This piece has been a wonderful upgrade. For an active performer / speaker, this has solved the problems associated with the single-ear worn devices. The mic remains properly placed even with animated performer activity. Input levels remain constant and much easier to add to the mix. Wish I could trade-in my single-ear models.

[Omnidirectional] amazing quality, great sounds and amazing performance even in feedback sensitive locations

[Omnidirectional] Not just one of the best headset mics I've used, one of the best mics period. It isn't omni-directional so feedback is almost non-existent. I have had children's pastors use it as a mic for singing and speaking. This thing is one of the clearest mics I have heard, it can cut through a band like what I thought only handheld mics can do. I also gave this to a senior pastor who also liked to sing at the end of his messages and compliments on his speaking and the end of services came from everyone. If you want a powerful mic, and you are done playing around with the little guys, its time to get this microphone. The ONLY downside is that if you have a really small head (has happened to me with two tiny women) this headset probably wont fit you and will be pretty loose. I just used some mole skin to tape it down on them and we didn't have any problems after that.

[Omnidirectional] One of the concerns public speakers face is the quality of the A/V equipment. Can you hear me now? is not simply the Verizon slogan. If your lavalier microphone or headworn microphone is not properly placed, you may wonder if people can hear you. The HSP4 is a beautifully formed headworn microphone that is securely placed, eliminating one's concern with regard to whether or not the audience can hear you based on the microphone placement. If you can afford this microphone--it is a bit expensive--it is well-worth the money. What may be a detour, however, is the color of the microphone versus the color of one's skin. As an African-American, I knew the tan Sennheiser would not be suitable. My desire was to have the microphone blend in to my skin tone as much as possible. The black Sennheiser (HSP4) seemed to be my only option. It actually may stick out more than the tan.

[Omnidirectional] Third one I bought. Sounds way better than what comes with the G3 kits - unless it's the gold G3 kit ;)
