For gimbal and Steadicam work, the camera can be quickly detached from the baseplate providing a low profile form factor, ready to be connected to dovetails and other quick release plates with a stable 75mm wide base. You can't go wrong either way, but personally I'm glad I went with the Titan. I plan on picking up a second one.
