Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I fit a thin 17 inch laptop in this case?

A: Yes a 17" laptop can fit into the pouch under the lid.

Q: 2. What is the useable liquid volume of one tray -- or how deep is atray?

A: 1500ml to 2000ml is the average fluid used in this size tray.

Q: 3. Does the size of this case fit airline carry on sizes?

A: Yes it does. While you will always want to check with the airline you are traveling with, carry-on luggage is usually 22 x 14 x 9 inches. This case is designed for carry-on with exterior dimensions of 21.9 x 14.0 x 9.0".

Q: 4. Would a Canon 5D mk IV with attached battery grip fit inside (standing up straight)?

A: Hello David Yes, the case would fit inside as long as you don't have anything in the lid organizer. Another option would be our Model: 3i-2011-7DZ.

Q: 5. What are the wheels like? Are they like rollerblades or like the Pelican cases?

A: SKB iSeries 2011-7 Case come with rollerblade wheels.

Q: 6. Will this fit 2 Pentax 67 cameras without wood grip?

A: Hi Vladimir, I'm not personally familiar with the size of the Pentax 67 camera. One spot I found online stated it was 6.97 x3.97 x3.58 . If that is correct then it will have no problem fitting into the case. The internal dimensions of the case including the padded dividers are 19.5 x10.5 x6 I think you should easily be able to fit a couple of cameras and other accessories as well. There is also a version of this case with a lid organizer instead of foam if that interests you. The model number for that is 3i-2011-7DL. Thank you,Will

Q: 7. Will a Canon 400mm f2.8 II fit?

A: I dont own a fixed 400, but I think it would take up up most of the pack. Take measurements of the the lens (camera on it) and compare to interior measurements of the pack. Its a great case if it holds what you want.

Q: 8. The depth seems like it might be a bit short. Will this hold full-sized DSLRs like the 1Dx and the 5Ds with battery grip? I have a Think Tank Airport Security and am always hassled by the gate agents.

A: The depth of this case is 10", which should be more than enough for a Canon 5Ds with a battery grip to sit upright.

Q: 9. What other types of films can be developed with this kit ? and where can I get development times for other films such as: Kodak Tx400, Ilford delta100 or delta400 or Rollei RPX 25 or400?

A: For this inquiry, please e-mail us directly to askbh@bhphoto.com. Thank you.

Q: 10. can I use these for developing 4 x 5 film?

A: I use this kind of tray to develop sheet film frequently (like 20 sheets per week on average) and have had very good results -- much better results than using one of those cheap daylight tanks or even the old kodak tanks with the film hangers. For 4x5 film I like the 5x7 trays better. The sheets don't float around as much in the smaller trays. If you're new to sheet film developing (or any film developing), I highly recommend the Film Developing Cookbook by Anchell and Troop. Very good reference that describes tray developing technique in excellent detail.

[Plastic] Outstanding Purchase Price, Quality and Delivery,
Searching the internet this was the best price, I used them to work on Etching the plate for printing
Red for Acid, Grey for water to wash the plate and White to damp the paper before printing.

Thanks, I'm very happy whit this purchase!

[7.43 lb] These are nice as expected. However, in a small darkroom especially, they are too large for anything smaller than 11x14. Stick with the 8x10 tray unless youre doing 11x14 prints. Theyre much easier to manage and require less chemicals.

[7.43 lb] I got these to do 11x14 prints without using a ton of chemistry. I have not had a chance to print that big, but the do work well with 8x10 as well. Plenty of room to grab the print without damaging it. They are sturdy enough that I can easily pick them up with a gallon of liquid in them and not spill when putting back into bottles. I would definitely recommend them.
