  • Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the latency of this system?

A: It has not been officially released by Godox, but 3rd party tests have had other 2.4GHz Godox systems clock at roughly 50ms.

Q: 2. How do you adjust the gain on the TRANSMITTER? not the receiver. I'm getting clipping in most of my interviews at the transmiter

A: The Synco WAIR-G2-A2 transmitters do not have gain controls.

Q: 3. What is the range of the transmitter ?

A: According to the manufacturer, the Synco G3 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone Recording System has an operating range of up to 820.2' (250 m) line of sight.

Q: 4. How weatherproof is it if it gets wet?

A: The Synco G3 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone Recording System is not specified as being weatherproof, waterproof or water-resistant. It is not recommended that the Synco G3 be exposed to rain, extreme cold or heat, humidity, or submerged in water.

Q: 5. What ac power is recommended for charge?

A: You can use any USB wall charger with the Synco WAir-G2-A2 Ultracompact 2-Person Digital Wireless Lavalier Microphone System, like you would use to charge a smartphone. For example, the ChargeWorx Dual USB Type-A Wall Charger (B&H # CHACX2603BK), the GyroVu 5V 3.1A USB Type-A AC Adapter (B&H # GYGVUSBPS3), or the Belkin Boost Charge 24W Dual USB Type-A Wall Charger (B&H # BEWCB2DQWH) will all work for charging the Synco WAir-G2-A2 system.

Q: 6. Can I use this to record two channels on an iPhone 12 Pro Max? What other accessories would I need?

A: In order to connect the Synco WAir-G2-A2 PRO to an iPhone 12 Pro Max, you will need to use either the Apple Headphone Adapter: B&H # APLAADAP.

Q: 7. Can I plug USB-C wired headphones into the Boya receiver on my iPhone 16 so I can listen to the audio as I'm recording it?

A: Using a wired set of headphones to monitor audio in real time is not possible with the BOYA OMIC-U 2-Person Wireless Microphone System with USB-C Connector for Mobile Devices (Black). After the recording is complete, the audio signal can only be heard during playback.

Q: 8. Hi there! Are the mics cardioid or omni? Thanks :)

A: Mics on transmitters Omni , lavalier mics omni

Q: 9. How can I plug this into my XLR on my camera input ?

A: You can connect the Synco WAir-G2-A2 Ultracompact 2-Person Digital Wireless Microphone System to an XLR input on your camera by using an adapter like the Kopul A-XMMF 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter (B&H # KOAXMMF) with the 3.5mm TRS to TRS receiver output cable that comes included with the wireless mic system.

Q: 10. Can a use other higher quality lavalier mic's with this?

A: Although not specified, the Synco WAir-G2-A2 Ultracompact 2-Person Digital Wireless Microphone System for Mirrorless/DSLR Cameras should presumably be compatible for use with third party lavalier microphones featuring a non-locking 3.5mm connection.

[1.47 lb] I can't believe how easy these things are to use. It sounds great and very quick to setup. No excuse to not have good audio in my projects.

[Non-Diversity] I have several other wireless mics, however, I purchased the MoveMic Two, trusting that Shure would deliver on their reputation, dependability, reliability and connectivity; they did not disappoint. Thank you Shure.

[LCD] The addition of signal and battery life meters is a great addition to this system. The headphone jack is also very helpful for use with cameras with no headphone output. Being about to use a lav mic makes hiding the mic helpful. Lots of accessories like mic clips and wind screens. Just wish they had. small case to put those small pieces in.

[380 mAh ] I will start off saying I used to use a lot of UHF systems easily over $1,000 each. Back then that was the best option. For years I resisted going wireless after the whole FCC wireless bandwidth fiasco suddenly made a ton of UHF systems illegal to use.

Never really considered FM or even a low cost option as anywhere close to usable until I started seeing glowing reviews for this wireless system.

First of all they are tiny. A fraction of the size of wireless kits we used to pin on people. They actually work as well. I have not used them in complex field situations yet but I'm impressed how well they work. I tested them out from one end of my house to another going through at least six walls and they worked without a hitch. The two channel system is practically flawless.

Lav quality itself may not have the widest frequency range but it beats the pants off not having any mics at all or thinking a shotgun mounted to a camera ten feet away will somehow pull off a miracle. if you have the means to get a shotgun a few inches to a few feet away from the subjects mouth then yes do that. If not then this is a really solid solution.

I also love that it uses 3.5mm so just about anything you can think of could be turned wireless. Music players, sound boards, DJ mixers, a computer output you name it. A locking connector could be nice for some but I like that just about anything can be plugged into this.

The case and included cables are the coolest gear setup I have even see with a wireless system. Everything has a place and its a nice compact ready to go kit.

[730 mAh ] My small marketing team wanted to conduct interviews at our annual conference, but we are not experienced with any video equipment. This mic system was very quick to set up with our camera and recorded great audio even in a sometimes noisy hotel hallway. My coworkers liked how easy it was to clip on to a client's shirt. Our team in Minnesota is going to purchase one for themselves.

[380 mAh ] Since recently being tasked with capturing three hour college venue lectures, I had decided to research wireless lav recording systems. Before I had the chance to search, this set showed up on the B&H website Deal Zone and based on the reviews, I purchased it. Three days later I put them to use on a three hour college lecture and I was extremely surprised how easy this was to set up and use. On this particular occasion I did not use the included lav mic but, intead, just used the built in transmitter mic. The lecturer's voice recorded crisp and clear and, with the exception of just a small amount of room hum that I cleaned up in post, this lecture video turned out great. If this product holds up over time, I got a real bargain. FYI: I kept the transmiiter gain at 0 and set my Panasonic GH5's audio gain to -3 and everything worked well.
