Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Sennheiser MKH8060 fits with this? INV LITE 19, prefer to avoid it as concern for secure grip on mic and may be leaving a mark on mic. Didn't find much evidence on internet.

A: This mount if fine for your 8060, which is 19mm in diameter, and this is for mics 19-34mm in diameter. And yes, it will be more secure than the INV-19.

Q: 2. Does this shock mount include a shoe adapter so that I can mount my mic on top of my DSLR?

A: No, It just has a 3/8 thread unfortunately.

Q: 3. Can I attach this to Impact Combo Boom Stand B&H #IMLSCB6 ? Or would a different kind of mount be better for a boom pole?

A: Yes you can screw the MZS 600 Shockmount onto the 1/4 20 side of the spigot included on the end of the boom of the IMLSCB6 Impact stand to the bottom of the MZS 600 Shockmount and then insert both into the stand, tightening the knob on the stand to secure the spigot to the stand..

Q: 4. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to adapt this to a shoe mount for mounting on a camera cage?

A: The InVision suspension mount has a 3/8" threaded base. You can use the WindTech CM-38 Photo Hot Shoe to 3/8"-16 Male Adapter (B&H # WICM38) to enable connection to a standard shoe mount.

Q: 5. Will this work with the Rode VideoMicro?

A: The Rode VideoMicro should fit inside the SmallRig 1859 shockmount when used without the windshield.

Q: 6. Will this work on the new RODE VideoMic Pro+?

A: Yes. The Auray WSW-VMP-R Windbuster will work with the new Rode VideoMic Pro plus.

Q: 7. What size is the thread on this attachment?

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 features a shoe attachment point only. There is no threading available on this mount. There are several compatible mounts available for the MKE-600 mic. The Auray Universal Shockmount DUSM-1 offers a rubber suspension system with shoe mount and 3/8 threading for pole mounting. a href= http://bhpho.to/1gXv7Tw target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1gXv7Tw/a

Q: 8. Can you use this with Sennheiser me66/k6 mic?

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 shock mount is designed for the MKE600. The ME66/k6 is 2.5mm bigger in diameter than the mke600. It may be tight fit. The Sennheiser MZSK6 is a shock mount designed specifically for K6 microphones, but at this price-point, I would probably go with a different shockmount. Please consider the Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount (B&H# RYUSGM) as it is a better investment.

Q: 9. Will this work with the Rode VideoMic Pro Compact shotgun?

A: I've only used it with my Sennheiser 416 Shotgun Mic, but if you find the diameter of the Rode is the same then the answer yes. This is an EXCELLENT shock mount. I wouldn't have any other.

Q: 10. Can this work with any shotgun mic? Thank you.

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 Shockmount for MKE 600 Microphone is not a universal mount but rather made specifically for the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone. The MKE 600 has a 20mm diameter which should be considered if attempting to use the MZS 600 with other microphones.

[0.455 lb] Perfect for securing my Sennheiser MKH-416. Eliminates rumble and other vibration noises, holds the microphone firmly, right where I want it. Exactly what I needed.

[0.455 lb] If you are looking at Rycote shock mounts for small diaphragm condensers, you no doubt have seen there are a lot of options. This one is a little heavier weight than the INV-6 but it is also more robust and quite stable AND is easier to click your mic into place.

I have both the INV-6 shock mounts and the INV-HG. I like them both for different tasks and for different microphones. The INV-6 is great for short form mic bodies, like the Sennheiser MKH8040. The INV-HG is better suited for SDC (small diaphragm condenser) bodies that are a little longer, like the Gefell M300 or Schoeps Collette bodies. You can still use the INV-6 with the longer mic bodies, but boy, does it feel like you are going to tear the shock mounts apart when loading a larger mic body into the INV-6! Not so with the INV-HG—-the longer, secure mounting section where the mic drops into is sturdy and a bit easier to work with.

The INV-HG also works well for longer SDC bodies, like the Sennheiser MKH8060 with a slide-on wind screen —- it works exactly as you would hope. And then you can use the same set up to quickly pop out the shotgun mic and drop in something like the MKH8050 for an interior interview quickly without a big fuss messing with a zeppelin.

This strong, solid shock mount is a great solution for a wide variety of small diaphragm condenser microphones from a variety of brands. It travels well and is suitable for indoor and outdoor microphone duties. It is a good choice for many situations.

[0.455 lb] When I first purchased the Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount for Cameras and Boom Poles and read the negative reviews, I immediately purchased this Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension - Lyre Shockmount as my backup. Comparing these two side by side, they both seem well made. The actual mic holder on both are identical so I don't see any issues with that. Both mounts seem as if they will hold up well as long as you don't overtighten them.

[0.455 lb] This is very solidly constructed and really works well with my Audio Technica 8035 shotgun mic which is about 14 1/2 inches long. The mic just snapped right into the holder, and it doesn't slip. I often use it on a tripod to record bird sounds, etc., and it does a great job. Would highly recommend.
