Enjoy amazing views of nebulae even from light-polluted urban areas with this Celestron Nebula Filter for Origin Telescopesfor the Celestron Nebula Filter for Origin TelescopesOrigin Intelligent Home Observatory. Sized to drop into the Origin's integrated filter drawer, the H-alpha and H-beta OIII imaging filter transmits bright, colorful nebulae images that "pop" with detail against the black sky background. Use it for memorable images of the North America Nebula (NGC 7000), the Lagoon Nebula (M8), the Orion Nebula (M42), the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372), and dozens more. The filter transmits key wavelengths including 486nm, 496nm/501nm, and 656nm while blocking much of the rest of the visible spectrum. While it is ideal for nebulae, it is not recommended for broadband emission objects, such as galaxies and star clusters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will the Celestron 93665 work with a nexstar 6 evolution?

A: Yes it works with the NexStar 6/8SE Evolution Telescopes.

Q: 2. Can I leave the wedge after installation and work also in AltAz mode? Is there any reason to remove it if going AltAz some of the times?

A: The MFR needs to be contacted for this answer.

Q: 3. can you power the sky watcher star adventure gti mount with this power tank?

A: No it will not. The sky-Watcher has no such power jack

Q: 4. What is the deference between the models # 93665 and #93664?

A: Each edge is slightly different depending on the model of your telescope. This wedge is NexStar 6/8SE and Evolution single-fork alt-az mounts. The Pro wedge is for larger telescopes up to 11 inches.

Q: 5. Does this work with the 9.25?

A: No, the Celestron HD Pro Wedge is the one that will work with the 9.25 and it's tripod.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/726918-REG/Celestron_93664_HD_Pro_Wedge.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/726918-REG/Celestron_93664_HD_Pro_Wedge.html/a

Q: 6. Can this telescope be used in remote areas without cell reception or wifi?

A: The Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory (B&H # CECOIHO) needs access to your location and local network to align itself accurately to the night sky.

Q: 7. Does this work for the 130SLT? If not where can I get a wedge for the 130SLT?

A: You would need a different mount to use a wedge with this telescope. An Equatorial Mount would be the best choice, where no wedge would be needed.

Q: 8. ac to dc adapter interchangeable?

A: Amanda -- the Celestron AC to DC power adapter allows you to convert your AC wall socket power to 12 volt DC power to run the electric motor in the telescope drive unit. That is all that is does.

Q: 9. is this power supply (Celestron 18778) compatible with a Celestron Nex Star model 22082?

A: Yes this is the recommended AC power supply for your scope.

Q: 10. For how many hours of usage the battery supports without recharge?

A: The battery in the Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory is estimated to last for about 6 hours on a full charge. There are optional battery tanks such as this one for longer use: https://bhpho.to/2p705o1

The telescope boasts a sleek and sturdy design, making it both aesthetically pleasing and durable. It is a bit heavy but the design ensures easy portability, which is great for stargazing on the go.

Optics and Performance

Equipped with high-quality optics, the Celestron Origin delivers clear and sharp images of celestial objects. The telescope's aperture and focal length are well-balanced, providing excellent magnification and light-gathering capabilities. This makes it suitable for viewing planets, stars, and even deep-sky objects.

[24 mm / 0.94"] Just received my Origin from B&H and first light did not disappoint!

First, kudos to B&H for the stress free purchase. I have purchased many items from B&H and they have always been top notch with the entire purchasing process, thank you!

I’m not new to astrophotography and the rigs used to capture planets and DSOs but the ease of use and quality of images produced by the Origin are perfect for me!

Looking forward to using this scope to complete my DSO list!

[24 mm / 0.94"] I only had the opportunity to use the Celestron Origin one time because the weather hasn't been great since receiving the telescope. Had some difficulty focusing when powered on, but that was due to the moon being nearly full and lots of haze in the air. Once it connected it found the object, M13 immediately, and I started imaging. I was impressed how quickly more and more of the globular cluster appeared on my iPad. However, the stars were streaked just a bit. After doing some research, it was pointed out that the scope needs to be perfectly level. I did have it leveled before mounting the tube, but in Florida ground that is pretty much sand, may have caused the telescope to settle a bit and threw off the guiding. Also, I found out that you should not image within' 5 degrees of the Zenith, or the stars will streak a bit. I kept getting communication messages that my link was poor. I read that you can use the TP-Link AC600 USB Wi-Fi Adapter in the USB 2 port and that will solve the issue.

I also imaged the Ring Nebula and Andromeda. I fairly certain that I can work out the bugs the next time I have the opportunity to image again.

Celestron finally posted a full manual that users can download and that really explains a lot of the operation of the Origin and the software.

I'm going to say that I really like the telescope and recommend it to people who want to get out and image celestial objects with ease.

[0.055 lb] It's been a while since I've burned hours/nights looking through a telescope (Meade LX200/ACF) and I always loved the idea of astro-photography, stacking images and the like. It was a grind, but a labor of love. I was skeptical of the Celestron Origin but decided to give it a try. From the first night out, I was pretty amazed at the images it produced, even in less-than-optimal sky conditions (hazy sky, bright moon, etc.) and I still managed to pull off some great captures. The RASA optics are fast, and I was surprised how quickly the images stacked and became more detailed event after just a minute or two.

The scope is easy to assemble, easy to configure, and it's light enough to lug just about anywhere. It was a bit of an adjustment using an all-digital scope controlled from a mobile phone. I felt not looking through an eyepiece would somehow lessen the experience. The truth is, you're still doing many of the usual things when working with a telescope; observing the scope position itself, tracking and making sure there are no obstructions, clouds, etc. In the end, not looking through the eyepiece didn't really feel all. that different.

All in all, having the ability to capture photos with little effort, it's really a great package/bundle of features for the price. I like the fact that it can be upgraded in the future and that you can go a little more hands-on (access raw image captures, etc.) if you don't like all the automation.

Attached are a few images with 10s exposures, total 2-3 minutes.

[24 mm / 0.94"] I've been into astronomy for decades but never was able to master the daunting task of deep sky photography. This Celestron Origin performed spectacularly right out of the box. I received the scope a week ago and have used it four times since, each time I was amazed at how well it captured the chosen targets. Exposure times were
Veil Nebula -36 minutes, Pinwheel Galaxy- 27 minutes, Lagoon Nebula- 15 minutes, Eagle Nebula 26 minutes, Trifid Nebula 10 minutes and Whirlpool Galaxy- 11 minutes

[24 mm / 0.94"] This is a very well-made carry case for the new Celestron Origin. Excellent design and well-padded. Great accessory for, in my case, transporting my scope to very remote locations within the Appalachian mountains. Very pleased with this purchase.
