The Miller Versa CXV6 Fluid Head Pan Handlefrom Miller Versa CXV6 Fluid Head Pan Handleis designed to accommodate a wide payload range with 16 steps of counterbalance with CB Plus for fine adjustments. Pan, tilt, and counterbalance can all be set to zero, enabling even the lightest of cameras to be supported. Maxed out, this head is rated to support camera setups up to 26.5 lb, adequate for a rigged-up DSLR or mirrorless camera, a smaller cinema camera, or a small ENG camcorder. Securing your camera or rig is easy. The sideload quick release plate design enables you to simply drop in your camera without the alignment issues posed by rear-loading variations. The plate offers 3.9" of sliding range to balance your rig.

To survive fast-paced shooting environments, the CXV6 is die-cast from a lightweight yet durable metal alloy with composite polymers and precision ball bearings for smooth mechanical operation. Even in harsh conditions, the CXV6 will perform reliably. The base of the CXV6 is a 75mm ball for mounting on compatible tripods and grip equipment. An illuminated bubble level makes it easy to level the CXV6 in dark environments. A fixed-length pan handle is included, and a second rosette is available for attaching an optional second pan handle.

Q: 1. Is the 3rd step of drag on the CX6 similar to the 5th step on the CX8 or is it less? Is the difference just fewer steps in-between or is it less drag overall?

A: Comparisons between the drag settings is not something listed by Miller on any head. The key in this case is that the CX8 offers more adjust-ability with 5 steps over 3 steps on the CX6. However we are not aware of a direct comparison between the steps.

Q: 2. Does this include the Rossette to attach to the tripod head?

A: The Miller 16mm Telescopic Pan Handle does not include the Rosette. If you require the handle with a Rosette please purchase Miller Part number 696. Miller Pan Handle -Telescopic with Handle Carrier for CX and AX Heads BH #MI696 • MFR #696

Q: 3. Is the sliding plate on this tripod compatible with the regular Miller Air head?

A: No the Miller AIRV (VERSA) plate is not compatible with the Miller AIR head. However you could add the following Manfrotto Quick Release adapter to the plate of the AIR HEAD. Q: 4. Can this Miller Air Fluid Head 1042 be mounted on a Gitzo GT2531LVL Series 2 or a GT2542 Series 2 tripod?

A: Yes you can. The Miller Air Fluid Head 1042 has a removable ball level stud for flat base mounting with 3/8 screw hole. Both Gitzo tripods have a 3/8 screw available.

Q: 5. If I would would buy Miller legs with 100mm fitting to go with this head, do I also need to buy a 100mm ball leveler seperately to lock it on the legs or does it come with this CX10 head? If so which one should I buy from B&H? I could not find it...

A: Every 75mm or higher fluid head comes with a ball clamp.

Q: 6. What's the length of this at full extension?

A: The length of the Miller 16mm Telescopic Pan Handle is not listed by Miller. Our estimate for this discontinued item is that its length is from 16" - 22".

Q: 7. Does a standard manfrotto plate fit in this head?

A: We're afraid not. This tripod has its own quick release plate system, it is not compatible with Manfrotto plates.

Q: 8. Is the plate compatible with Arca Swiss? Or is it still Miller's original plate? I have everything with arca swiss...

A: The Miller Versa CXV8 Fluid Head with Pan Handle does not have a Arca Swiss compatibility. You can mount a Arca Swiss clamp to the Miller quick release plate.

[Yes] I needed a second handle, so now I have two on my Compass 15 tripod head. It is easier to control. I like it a lot, but it is very expensive for what it is. It was extremely difficult to remove the plastic cap on the left side of the tripod to allow the handle to attach. Called Miller support mulitple times. Turns out you have to use a steel rod and hit it out with a hammer!! Crazy!! For such a delicate piece of superb engineering, it seems crazy to HIT it with a HAMMER!! But it worked. 5

[Yes] Been using Manfrotto heads for far too long. I have always known that I needed to upgrade from my reliance on Manfrotto. I am glad did! This head from Miller is a night and day difference for me. So much better in every way. Lighted bubble head, counter balance, and extremely smooth drag and pan. It's so good! 5

[+90° to -75°] I purchased the Miller CX10 Fluid Head specifically for use with a Sony A7iii and Sony 200-600 G zoom lens in a rig weighing about 13 pounds. I use this setup as a moving camera for closeups in concerts. It's important to have smooth action with (near) perfect balance. The CX10 meets all of my need and expectations. It is also compact, rugged, and very easy to adjust. It is a true fluid head, so adjusting the drag is easy, since you aren't working against spring tension found in friction heads. The counterbalance is also easy to adjust, without undue resistance. I can point it to any position and let go of the handle without sag and very little springback. Hold for just a second or two, and the springback disappears. 5

[Yes] I ordered this head to use on my Gitzo series 5 tripod along with the gitzo 100mm half bowl. Quality is fantastic, motion is smooth and fluid and is extremely durable. Only issue, the stud that mounts to the ball clamp is too short and needed to be longer to use on the Gitzo tripod. Called Miller US and had them send me a longer one, without issue. 5
