Q: 1. What is the practical difference for landscape photography in a leveler such as this one that allows 10 degrees adjustment vs. others that allow 15 degrees adjustment--besides the extent of the allowed adjustment?

A: Possibly to provide a wider range of adjustment when setting up a tripod on sloped terrain. However, I shoot landscapes in steep terrain often and have not found a need for more adjustment. I have other leveling bases and this is my favorite.

Q: 2. Will this work with a RRS BH55 head?

A: Yes. The following will adapt to any ballhead that offers a 3/8 female opening.

Q: 3. does this work with all tripods?

A: Please enter your answer

Q: 4. What is the max. diameter ball head that would fit on this without obscuring the bubble level?

A: Hey Paul,You could mount a ball head with a maximum base diameter of 2.25, and still see/use the bubble level. This Acratech Leveling Base is awesome; superbly made, and quite functional. I use it with an equally superb FLM CB-38 FTII ball head (2.15 base), and it works great. BTW, I can highly recommend it with the FLM CP-26 Travel Tripod! That tripod is fantastic, and lets me obtain the sharpest images possible with my system! Regards, Steve

Q: 5. Whart the dimensions of this washer?

A: The Paterson Major Auto Print Washer can handle up to 12 12x15 inch prints. The outer dimension is approxemelty 21 x 17 x 11 inches.

Q: 6. Is the tops stud on the Acratech 1117 3/8"-16? Thanks, Steve

A: The Acratech Leveling Base, with 3/8" Tripod Thread - Supports 25 lb (11.4 kg), B&H #ACLB, listed above has a 3/8"-16 male thread on the top of the leveling base. If you need the option that uses the 1/4"-20 male thread, you may instead purchase the Acratech Leveling Base for Tripods with 1/4"-20 Thread Head Mount, B&H # ACLBS, for your usage needs.

Q: 7. What bag would you recommend storing this base in? Thanks

A: A Zing Designs SPB1 Small Drawstring Pouch (Black/Blue), BH # ZIPSBL would be suitable to store the Acratech Leveling Base.

Q: 8. Are there TABLE TOP TRIPODs that are compatible with this leveling base? preferably carbon fiber, but those are pricey.

A: All of our bases are equipped with a standard 3/8-16 tripod socket, but we include a 1/4-20 adapter with every unit we sell. This allows them to work with just about any tripod on the market, even the table top tripods that will allow you to mount your own head. A quick search on the B & H and I am confused too, but I can tell you which ones we have experienced. The FLM CP10, Berlebach Mini Tripod and on the low end Sunwayfoto T1A11-II.

Q: 9. what is the small knob on the acratech leveling base for?

A: According to Acratech, the smaller knob on the Leveling Base is preset and offers no adjustment.

Q: 10. Is the top stud on the Acratech 1117 leveling base 3/8"-16 ? Thanks, Steve

A: Yes the top stud on the Acratech Leveling Base, with 3/8" Tripod Thread is 3/8-16.

As a 3d printer user in the UK it is sometimes difficult to get genuine OEM spare parts. I have tried to order these several times directly from Lulzbot but each time they cancelled my orders without any explanation. So happy that I have found a reliable supplier willing and able to fulfil my order without any fuss. Thank you so much.

I have logged over 48 hours of print time on this unit since getting it ~1 week ago. I has been in production since I received it and printed exactly as expected. I have had some failed prints which were a result of setting I placed- nothing caused by the machine at all. The only complaint I have/ issue I had is that the replacement filament function tends to cause a jam in the extruder head. So instead of reversing the filament out I'll snip it and manually extrude it through while threading the new filament in after.

Honestly, if anything this has provided way to needing a larger printer with dual extrusion capabilities for new use cases. There is no doubt I will opt for the Taz Pro after truly falling in love with the Mini 2.

In conclusion 11/10 - this is a phenomenal machine and I am really proud to own one.

Handled everything I threw at it. Quick startup. Printed in sla and ngen so far. Multiple colors. Swapping filaments took a little experimenting. Found it best if you cut filament at 45 degree angle before attempting to feed new spool into head. Very quiet.

No more glue layers, no more scrubbing residue clean and applying a new glue layer just for my printer to hold a layer.

After spending a great deal of time with the original mini in an educational environment, I decided to order my own mini 2. Great print quality, a breeze to use, and nearly silent operation!

I had been looking around, where most websites were sold out. I ordered them even though they were out of stock, and only about a week later they came in.

The product is very good, these are a little tougher than the original pads, and I think this is an improvement. Previous ones were falling apart very quickly where as these seem like they will hold up over some heavy usage.

I've gotten in about a dozen prints so far, and its done its job. Hard to go wrong with an improved replacement of the part you need.

Thanks BHPhoto and Lulzbot!

No more wasted time & filament. I ordered the Lulzbot filament Runout sensor and installed it on the Lulzbot Taz 6. The install was fairly simple. I have the filament mounted on the top not the side, so I had to print a new adapter to attach it to the top of the frame. I wired it up, fired it up and it worked great. No more wasted filament or stressing if I was going to run out before the print is done!

Idea when you have short rinse times, such as RC coated paper. Limited capacity if you have long times such as fiber based.
