The white RS-EZ Series RS82-EZ 8" Coaxial Speaker Open-Ceiling Hanging Speaker from SoundTube Entertainment is designed for open-ceiling applications and features an 8" coaxial driver with BroadBeam Ring technology for consistently smooth high-frequency directivity. It incorporates a 4-position ceramic terminal block input connector and a 6-position tap switch with transformer bypass position. This speaker comes with hanging hardware that includes galvanized steel cables and a built-in hanging bracket for fast, easy, and secure installation. The unit may be mounted direct-to-conduit via the included screw-on locking cover plate (included).

The speaker enclosure is constructed of injection-molded ABS with glass fiber reinforcement for durability in indoor or outdoor applications. It also features an aluminum grille with protective powder-coated finish. The speaker offers an impedance of up to 16Ω for easy daisy chaining in low voltage systems. The ceramic input terminal accepts up to 10-gauge plenum-rated signal wire and includes a thermal fuse. The RS82-EZ speaker includes hanging cables and a built-in mounting plate for suspending it; a threaded opening on top of its cover plate allows for direct-to-conduit mounting. This speaker is suitable for use in voice alarm applications subject to EU EN60849 and BS5839-8 regulations. A: The CM500i speaker is sold individually. This item includes a single CM500i speaker and mounting hardware.

A: The JBL CSA 2120Z Audio Amplifier - 2 x 120W (B&H # JBCSA2120Z) that James recommended is a good option since it can be used as a 70V or standard amp and its power rating makes it a good match for use with two of the JBL 18C/T speakers on each channel. Crown's XTi 1002 (B&H # CRXTI1002) is a standard stereo amp rated at 275W per channel at 8 Ohms which could also work for you. As another option, the QSC ISA300Ti Commercial Power Amplifier (B&H # QSISA300TI) is a standard amp rated at 180W per channel at 8 Ohms and also operates at 70V for a constant voltage setup.

[64 W] Installed 4 pairs of this in an auditorium of 60ftx40ft. Easy to install, sound quality is great. The wattage tap settings on the front make it easily accessible and simplify refining volume levels of the system especially when mounted on ceiling Also, the System Design Software on jblpro website helped a lot in validating speaker placement. 5

[15.445 lb] I searched long and hard for speaker mounts to use for a set of Monitor Audio Bronze surround speakers that weighed about 11 pounds. Although I ended up having to cut down the plate so it could attach properly to the speaker, something I would have had to do for several of the mounts I considered, it ended up working well. The mounts are very strong, they are small and do not stand out, they provide limitless angling options, and I could not be happier with the install. It is hard fo find the perfect mount without being willing to perform some fabrication for speakers that weigh what mine weigh. 5

[15.445 lb] I used this speaker in a on campus weight room. Easy install. All parts included even the tile bridge. This speaker easily adapts to either a 70 volt or 8 ohm system. 5

[128 W] Due to the relatively low cost, I was a little concerned that these would not satisfy our requirements for the space but man do these deliver. We have 4 of these running on one Sonos Amp in a large living room paired with a Sonos Sub. The speakers are mounted approx. 11ft off the ground on a sloped ceiling. VERY impressed with how they perform! 5

[2.5 kHz] I used these speakers with JBL 19cs subwoofers for a weight room facility sound system. The total system consisted of 6 - 26c speakers and 4 - 19cs subwoofers. Wiring is made easy with the removable terminal blocks and passthrough wiring. Basically each speaker connects to each other in a line. This installation method reduces cost for speaker wire and labor involved with running extra wire. The terminal blocks have 4 wire holes. For the first speaker in the line will use holes 2 & 3 for the line connecting to the amplifier. Then a wire is ran from speaker 1 to speaker 2. Holes 1 & 4 from speaker 1 connects to holes 2 & 3 on speaker 2. This continues for the entire line. Be sure to properly power these speakers. Both the 19cs and 26c need 140 watts of power. In our installation we used 2 amplifiers splitting the system into left and right sides of the room. Since each amp had 2 outputs of 500 watts for each channel. This provided some headroom for the speakers. On both amps output 1 was was the high and output 2 was the low. Output 1 had 3 26c speakers and output 2 had 2 19cs subwoofers. These amplifiers had a built in crossover feature that splits the signal into high and low frequences which is essential for installing a system like this. A xlr splitter was used to convert the output from the mixer (1 xlr) to inputs for both amps (2 xlr). A cutout template is provided for cutting ceiling tiles. Once tiles are put back in the ceiling the installation can be done without access into the ceiling. The speaker is designed to push up through the cutout in the ceiling tile and clamps down to the C bracket (included). Make sure to have someone assist with installing, these can be insalled with one person but can be difficult for one person to lift, attach wires, put into place, and screw down holders. Overall these speakers work as expected and would buy again. They install nicely and end product looks professional. Nothing less to be expected from JBL. 5

[2.5 kHz] I use these speakers in meeting rooms of various sizes and for several purposes such as lectures, symposia, music playback, and movies. They are installed in drop ceilings, which, of course, has its drawbacks, but the response and delivery of these speakers is outstanding. I wouldn't think of going with another choice except to upgrade to the 47c/t in rooms that can handle more bass. response. 5

[64 W] We used this product in the ceiling of our conference room. These speakers are VERY loud for only having a 1-watt amplifier built in. You will NEED to purchase separately, the 24 volt power supply for EACH speaker in use in order to install these and have them function. Installation is super-easy and requires NO tools if mounting in suspended ceiling tiles. I highly recommend these. 5
