The black SoundTube CM500i 5.25" Coaxial In-Ceiling SpeakerbySoundTube CM500i 5.25" Coaxial In-Ceiling Speakeris a two-way blind-mount in-ceiling speaker that delivers effective low-end response and optimal off-axis performance. SoundTube's proprietary BroadBeam waveguide tweeter system delivers consistent high-performance audio across the operating bandwidth. The CM500i speaker design incorporates a low-profile grille, proprietary M5 motor-board, and a six-position tap switch with voice coil direct position. Mounting hardware is included and features a fast and secure constant-tension, fixed-wing mounting system.

A: Actually the grill comes with it for free. JBL - MTC-RG6/8 Grille for Control 227C/CT and 328C/CT Loudspeakers. Here is the B&H part number in case you would like to have a look. B&H # JBC328CT

A: No you do not. But you might want to get the front grill. JBL MTC-RG6/8.

Q: 4. Recomended 8Ω JBL or CROWN amplifier for 2 per channel 18C/T?

A: The JBL CSA 2120Z Audio Amplifier - 2 x 120W (B&H # JBCSA2120Z) that James recommended is a good option since it can be used as a 70V or standard amp and its power rating makes it a good match for use with two of the JBL 18C/T speakers on each channel. Crown's XTi 1002 (B&H # CRXTI1002) is a standard stereo amp rated at 275W per channel at 8 Ohms which could also work for you. As another option, the QSC ISA300Ti Commercial Power Amplifier (B&H # QSISA300TI) is a standard amp rated at 180W per channel at 8 Ohms and also operates at 70V for a constant voltage setup.

A: The Adam A7V does not have holes to be able to mount to the K&M 24195. It is made to sit on a flat surface.

I do like the design and quality and feel like they're durable and will last a long time. They're easy to mount and install. And the sound is very good. Not a bad price point. [8 Ω] Great small format in-ceiling speakers. The sealed and ported enclosure protects them and provides a consistent bass response, unlike open back speakers. 70volt or 8ohm operation for a wide variety of commercial and residential applications. and... they sound good! 5

[3 kHz] Love these speakers! I have them installed in my kitchen ceiling and they are connected in series to a Dante mono amp. Use them mainly to listen to a podcast or an audiobook while I am working in the kitchen and they are excellent for listening to people speaking. I added a couple more of them and now have four installed on my kitchen ceiling. Wish I had installed them years ago! 5

[13 lb] I installed in these in the ceiling of my new garage. I put 4 speakers in a 24'x24' room and they have solid clarity and fill the room with plenty of power to spare. I am a believer in ceiling speakers for all kinds of applications. 5
