Expand the utility of your notebook with the compact Kensington SD4839P Triple Video Docking Station. Giving you a variety of data inputs and three video outputs, you can transform your notebook into a fully functional workstation so you can complete your tasks quickly and efficiently.

Three USB-A and one USB-C ports are found on the front of the dock, each operating on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, giving you up to 10 Gb/s data transfer speeds, ideal for supporting high-speed peripherals like storage drives, interfaces, and more. A 3.5mm combo audio jack is available for headsets so you can listen to your media or conference calls with ease. On the back you get one HDMI and two DisplayPort video outputs, allowing you to connect up to three displays with a wide range of resolutions and refresh rates depending on your setup. A Gigabit Ethernet LAN port is also located on the rear for hardwired network connectivity. Additionally, a barrel connecter for the AC adapter is located on the back, providing your host device with 85W of Power Delivery, keeping your notebook powered up while you work. This docking station supports various display setups thanks to the dual DisplayPort and single HDMI video outputs. You get up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate on single and dual setups while triple display setups can handle up to 1080 resolution at 60 Hz refresh rate. You can use dual-display setups when the notebook is open while triple displays are supported when your device is in clamshell mode.

Maximize desktop space and reduce cable clutter by mounting your docking station out of the way with an optional mounting bracket. Lock slots allow you to protect your investment with a cable lock thanks to the dual locking slots.

[Yes, Kensington] I didn't like my previous dock where the main connection cable goes out from the front, creating a mess on my small desk. This one has the main cable connecting from the rear, where it can partially hide in the back. It also has an actual power button so that my lighted keyboard won't remain on. There's also no annoying side ports, a plus in my setup. One of the few knocks is that there isn't enough USB ports. The headphone port is out on the front, which is unfortunately way too common in docking stations and makes cabling traditional computer speakers a challenge. As a reminder, the dock cannot magically grant access to more than one external monitor on basic Mac computers. It's fine for me since I don't intend to use more than one external monitor for my Macbook Air M1. 5

[Yes, Kensington] This dock replaced a previous from a different manufacturer, which would glitch/freeze up and need restarting. So far (months later) this unit has been boringly predictable, offering consistent performance. It has the connectivity we need, and the price was good. And from a dock (or any other kind of infrastructure hardware) isn't that what you want? 5
