Q: 4. I will be upgrading from a Benro H8. I know this head is WAY better. My main complaint with the Benro is, the maximum drag is really weak. I want heavy drag that you really have to push on so slow movements are highly controlled. Is the heaviest drag on this head really stiff?

A: Yes not only is the Miller more stiff at its maximum setting it also offers more steps in between the lightest and toughest setting.

Q: 5. Will this tripod hold a black magic ursa Broadcast camera?

A: Yes, it will work.

Q: 8. I ordered the model with ground level spreader. If I want to add a mid level spreader, what model/part is that? Also, does it include protective feet if I remove the ground spreader, or do I need to buy them separately?

A: You would need the Manfrotto Mid Level Spreaders (MA537SPRB). The rubber shoes for the tripod would be separate, the part number for them is MA565.

Q: 9. Is the 75mm bowl proprietary to Miller tripods? Will this head fit any brand of tripod with a 75mm bowl? For example, experience taught me Sachtler bowls are proprietary to the tripods.

A: Yes.

Q: 10. What is the height of the head to the flat mount (without the ball)? I'm looking to place this on a slider and travel jib.

A: The non-removable ball integrates a flat base. The dimension from the top to bottom is 6.0" / 153mm. https://www.millertripods.com/us/mwdownloads/download/link/id/6/

[Yes] Have been using it since October of 2021, and I am very happy with it. The adjustments took a little getting used to, there is a learning curve. Needed to practice to get the hang of it (by that I mean ability to adjust during a shoot without thinking).

The CS6 is more than adequate for my light set up (Red Komodo or R5 with a Canon 100-400 or 100-500 lens). Buttery smooth pans and tilts. Feels good in my hands, a pleasure to use. Should be good for much heavier setups but be careful to make sure you have the right model for your needs.

[Incremental] Buttery smooth pan and tilt and the ability to precisely dial in the counterbalance makes this a unique and excellent head. I have had mine for about 2 years and love it.

[Incremental] I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with the TS100CF-Q tripod—it's the lightest 100mm bowl option available, making it a breeze to carry around. The included shoulder strap for the carry bag is a game-changer for me, making transportation to and from locations effortless. Adding an extra base plate to all my cameras was a smart move, allowing for rapid setup, and the 1-lever, 2-stage feature on the legs is a huge time-saver on set.

[Yes] This replaced a well know brand fluid head and the difference was night and day. The counter balance is smooth, super easy to use, and convenient top plate loading.

I have no disappointment and am considering the accessory plate.

[Yes] I ordered this head to use on my Gitzo series 5 tripod along with the gitzo 100mm half bowl. Quality is fantastic, motion is smooth and fluid and is extremely durable. Only issue, the stud that mounts to the ball clamp is too short and needed to be longer to use on the Gitzo tripod. Called Miller US and had them send me a longer one, without issue.

[Yes] Ive been using this head for two months and dont have any complaints. This is a great head that has all I need for medium heavy weight cameras like Sony FS7. And Ive been using it with Arri Amira comfortably as well.

[+90° to -75°] Working in broadcast TV starting in late 70's and through to 2015 and the only components that lasted the test of 7 day a week use in all weather conditions were the Miller heads and this unit is no exception. I purchased on a flash sale and have employed in many different configurations with mirrorless and camcorder rigs. I enjoy the simplicity of the settings as usually, with previous heads, I would set up and never adjust say for the camera positioning. And the reality is, these units hold their value as the cost of manufacturing always rises. Most shooting is reliant on the sticks. If your head is poor, you work harder. This as with all Miller heads will long outlive most careers and provide years of worry free, solid performance.

[Yes] This head is fantastic! It is replacing a 25 year old Vinten Vision 5. While I have loved the Vinten, the infinite adjustable friction has worn out. I love the gears in this one and the 16 step counter balance. Also the Vinten heads only have a range for which they can be counter balanced, like 7 pounds to 14 pounds. This guy can go all the way from zero to 26.4 pounds. That means I can use a heavy camera or a DSLR and still balance the weight. Excellent design!

[Incremental] After years of using Sachtler tripods, switching to this TS100CF-Q has been a game changer. It can counterbalance my RED and Pictor Zooms. The variable drag feature enables precise adjustment of the shot, whether I'm aiming for a slow pan or a whip. With the pan drag zeroed out, It recently handled a 360 pan shot seamlessly—something that an OConnor head cannot do. I also purchased the mid-level spreader and feet. Which were a necessary for my outdoor shoots and allowed me to get lowered angled shots.
