[LCD] I've only had this for about a week now but I have it mounted in a carry rackmount case for doing multi camera remote projects. It looks great and allows me to have a 17 inch monitor to use as my switcher monitor while only taking up 1 RU in the case. It does add quite a bit of weight to the case but it's well worth it. Just need to see if it holds up to the rigors of being hauled around. It appears to be very well built. Thumbs up at this point.

[25.545 lb] I spent a lot of time looking for a 17 field monitor to replace my dated Panasonic LH17. This newly released Lilliput fit the bill perfectly, and does so much more than expected. I often DP multiple camera shoots and love the 4 SDI inputs. You can cycle through them full screen, or get them in quad mode - even if you are using only two or three of the inputs. The manual is nearly useless (like most these days), so took me a little bit of back and forth with tech support (very responsive), to figure out how to set that up. I then assigned quad mode to one of the function buttons. The colors seem accurate, it's bright, and it is loaded with onscreen tools, built in LUTs, the ability to bring in custom LUTs. I do not recommend their case. I kitted out a Pelican 1600 and it fits perfectly. Very happy with this monitor so far!

[16:9] I've had my eye on Lilliput for quite a few years now. Ever since I bought an A12 monitor from them directly at Cinegear Expo in 2018. I was very impressed with the A12 and I knew that I would eventually get a bigger monitor from them someday. I wanted something 4k that I could bring on set but also use for color grading at home, AND it needed to not break the bank. Tall order, I know. Once they started releasing the Q series I started to really pay attention to Lilliput. I saw them in person many times at the trade shows but it was until recently that I decided to just roll the dice on this new Q24. Man is it impressive. The blacks are way deeper than I expected, almost like an OLED. And the color, well after some hardware and software calibrations I got the accuracy average to 0.6 dE... That's amazing for any monitor, but especially one from this very affordable Chinese company. It's so nice I kind of don't want to bring it on set now (even though it's built like a tank.) I don't want anything to happen to this beautiful monitor that I can absolutely grade high end work with. (Rec709 at least.) I'm truly impressed with the Q24. Last but not least, the 4K picture is sharp! Even with Sharpness set to 0, which is where I suggest you leave it.

[127 ppi] Things I Love:

True 4k at 18 inches that is sharp!
Gets bright enough to use on set (ours living strictly in post production usage)
hard carrying case is sweet, Wouldn't sit on it but definitely a nice add-on
has hdmi input to switch to being a regular monitor in addition to running SDI from an UltraStudio 4K Mini out of resolve, one of the reasons for picking this over more common reference monitors.

But now the tough part, Calibration was HARD. Keep in mind I am not a professional calibrator but am pretty tech savvy, Spent a whole day trying with DisplayCal, next day with ColourSpace LTE Rental, and simply couldn't get great results. Results would be great when testing the calibrated profile from a software side, but as soon as loading the LUT into the monitor, results would be all over. Lilliput Customer Service was very responsive at trying to help. In order to finally get it properly calibrated I had a local calibrator come in and help out. We used Calman, dialed in settings on the display, created and loaded a LUT, then had to take an extra step of changing RGB, brightness, and contrast after to get it calibrated properly. This last step is not so standard but allowed us to final calibrate to Rec709 gamma 2.2. So calibration is DEFINITELY possible, just not as simple in my experience as some monitors, Would love to see Lilliput put out more literature on how to properly calibrate using ColourSpace (one of their partners) or update their DisplayCal directions to provide more details. Again, this could be user error, but the professional Calibrator said this was definitely a tough one. But we got it and likely could've dialed in more but ended up with a Delta e average of 1.4 which is more than good enough for my purposes!

For the price EXTREMELY stoked on the feature set of this monitor and build quality. Well done Lilliput.

[127 ppi] I am a professional cinematographer, I use this as an on-cam monitor, in addition to a 17inch reference monitor. Great monitor for the money, looks sturdy, all accessories included, various battery plates appreciated. It does not feel or look cheap. Used it for two weeks so far, with a Sony FS7, no glitches. Nice waveform and other exposure monitoring tools. I power it off the camera battery with a p-tap to DC connector wire. Everything works as advertised. Brightness outside is reasonable, but not incredible. With the supplied top/side hood (which is well built, btw) it is ok, but I will add another piece of black board on the bottom so as to cut all glare. Nice zoom feature, plus peaking, since I mostly use it for checking focus. Colors also look quite close to the truth. The 5 star rating is also in regard to the very affordable price for a full HD of its size.

[1920 x 1080] Best rack pullout monitor for camera engineering. The Datavideo one that costs twice the coin is terrible. It’s useless as a calibrated monitor and doesn’t have scopes built in like this one. The Lilliput also has the connections conveniently placed on the backplane, keeping wires out of the pulling mechanism.

[1920 x 1080] This is an amazing monitor, chock full of great features. The screen is super-sharp, which gives us a leg up on camera focus, and the focus assist utility is amazing. Having both SDI and HDMI options gives us much needed flexibility, and the onboard SD card recording capability is a huge win.

Having both SDI and HDMI I/O is handy and the video signal monitoring functions (Zebra, focus peaking, histogram, false color, etc.) It's inherent color reproduction also seems to be accurate as well as 3D Lut support.

[LCD] Someone reviewed this monitor saying the Q24 does not display 4K but instead down-samples to 1080, that is not true. Perhaps their camera's output was not set properly to UHD. I have tested this monitor with Arri and Sony cameras, with both SDI and HDMI. There is a very clear noticeable difference between a 4K signal and a 1080 signal. I shot resolution charts that confirm the monitor is in fact displaying full 3840x2160 resolution.
