Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could this be configured to work with an ATEM?

A: Yes, the PTZCam TALLY8 8-Camera Wireless Tally System can be setup to work with the ATEM switchers so long as you get the version with the Blackmagic Design tally interface(BH #PTZCTLLY8BMD • MFR #PTZC-TALLY8-BMD). You can find the correct version using the following link: https://bit.ly/3Hg3Ujz

Q: 2. Is there a way to get this working with OBS? Also since the Marshall VMV 402 has a serial tally interface, would that work with this system as well?

A: At this time it does not support OBS. Since OBS is an open source platform it is possible for someone with coding experience to develop something to make it work but at this time there is no turn key or easy solution to get this product to work with OBS. In regards to the Marshall Camera this bypasses the need to use Marshall's interface. The Cerevo replaces Marshall's Tally system instead of working with it. It is worth noting that the Flextally is compatible with VMix. Vmix is a software switcher that is extremely similar to OBS. They have a free trail available on their website if you want to test it out. We have it available for purchase with various configurations if you are interested. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/products/Shop-by-Brand-vMix/ci/4/phd/3841605738/N/4294255798?filters=fct_category%3Aswitcher_software_23908

Q: 3. Will this work on a Roland V1-HD/V-8HD using the X-Keys USB-GPIO converter (since B&H carries that one as a special order but not the Cerevo one)?

A: We can only recommend working with the Cerevo USB-GPIO for total compatibility. At this moment it can only be purchased from Cerevo. http://gstore.cerevo.com/usb-gpio-converter-for-flextally/

Q: 4. CAN THESE BE POWERED VIA USB WHILE IN USE ON-CAMERA?

A: The micro USB on the Cerevo FlexTally Wireless Tally Lamp System will allow for both powering and charging.

Q: 5. Does will work with Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K?

A: We’re afraid not. Cerevo does not list that switcher as compatible.

Q: 6. is there anyway to integrate this with a Ross switcher?

A: If the switcher has tally capabilities, you can integrate the Cerevo FlexTally Wireless Tally Lamp System.

Q: 7. Does this work with Blackmagic Switchers Tally system?

A: Thank you for contacting us about Cerevo's FlexTally. The compatible switchers is listed Cerevo's FlexTally product official online manual. https://flextally.cerevo.com/en/docs/confirmed-switchers/ Please check the list if your Blackmagic switcher is listed. If not, you can always connect yours by using GPIO connections. About Cerevo's FlexTally GPIO connections, please go to; https://flextally.cerevo.com/en/switchers/gpio-cable/ Thank you and best regards,

Q: 8. Is the base unit rack mountable?

A: no the base unit is NOT rack mountable

Q: 9. Where do you download the "Flextally for Wirecast" utility?

A: Please follow the instructions for the Cerevo FlexTally Wireless Tally in the link below. Link: https://bit.ly/40yjLmb

Q: 10. WILL THIS WORK WITH THE NEW BLACKMAGIC 4 M/E CONSTELLATION 4K? i see almost all others listed...

A: Yes, the Cerevo FlexTally Wireless Tally Lamp System will work with the new Blackmagic Design ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Switcher.

[0.075 lb] This is the second of this set of wireless tallies we purchased. We have been very happy with the first set and the ease of which to integrate a second set was amazing.

It did help to have the first with switcher to mimic the GPIO crossover, but worth the investment.

[Black] I brought this for a multi cam event and it works as advertised. Setup was simple and easy, the video had no noticeable delay and converted my HDMI signal to an SDI one. The hot shoe adapter came with the system making it more easier to grip my camera.

Will definitely use for future events!

[Black] Custom pin out for a DB25 cable was needed. Additional cables for a variety of our switchers will be need for mobile applications. This was the perfect solution with less cables in our studio.

[0.075 lb] Tally system worked flawlessly- we velcroed to the top of our teleprompters and the talent responded well. Great units and easy to program following website instructions - just install driver and set each camera to tally

[0.075 lb] Plugged it in, set the switcher IP and everything worked straight away. Should work with any modern ATEM switcher. Outdated and discontinued models will obviously not work since the API has changed over the years. For ATEMs over Ethernet, you don't need to do the Learning part of the setup, so just skip that. Set the switcher IP in settings and it should begin working immediately.

[Black] I liked the first one so much, that I bought another pair for my second camera. The signal is reliable; and I like being able to connect, wirelessly, several other wifi (mobile) capable devices. This was a nice touch to have a couple of clients viewing on separate devices.

[Black] We couldn't get an HDMI or SDI to a location about 100 ft away and this seemed like a well-priced option with good reviews. I can say that after using it for a few weeks now, it works like a champ. These things do get warm, but apparently that is normal. It reliably sends HDMI from my camera out across to the receiver and I can pick it up from there in HDMI or SDI to input into my Blackmagic ATEM. No issues at all. Yes, there is a small frame delay because... well, it's wireless. But that was expected. I am considering a couple more of these so we can make our other wired cameras wireless too.
