[Topside Handle] Bought this go with a cage for my FX30, and it’s been quite fantastic. Useful for me, it locks on quite solidly, and makes a convenient point for mounting a monitor onto. I’ll be picking up an arri-style mount for the monitor for a more secure mounting on the end of the handle, but the top cold shoe mount has a nice lock holding things in place.

The adjustability is useful to get the balance just right, which is nice. And the quick release is useful if you constantly have to take the handle on and off during transportation.

[Remote Trigger] I bought this for when my Komodo is on a gimbal and I can use my tilta nucleus to run/stop it. I like the fact that in a rush when switching setups I can just mount the outrigger handle on top and use that. Initially I didn't like how it looked/fit but in the end it's just for gimbal use and I think it works good for what it is. Would recommend.

[7.3 x 4 x 1.4"] Substantial, works well, tad expensive for what it is but you can definitely tell where the money went.

[Topside Handle] Smart mounting points, very solid build and stays stable on the rig with a 6ish pound total weight. I kind of wish the underside of the handle was rounded, but the adjustable nature of it sort of prevents it. It's not a dealbreaker by any means though.


Would definitely buy again.

[7.3 x 4 x 1.4"] I did a lot of research on top handles and this one fit perfect for what I wanted. Here’s some Pros of what I like:

-I like how there’s a middle piece of metal (adjustable too) I can wrap my index finger around for a little extra grip. I like this style of top handle. The middle piece is also nice and thin so it doesn’t feel intrusive.

-The top handle is really secure since there’s two screws to lock in the adjustable piece and the nato piece clamps on perfectly to my rig.

-The top handle has plenty of room for my hand.

-aesthetically, I think the handle looks really nice, it has a slick look to it.

-There’s an allen key that is magnetically held inside the handle. Really useful especially if you accidentally forgot to bring one.

-plenty of mounting options

-I think the price is reasonable ($48 I believe) for how versatile and well made the handle is.

Cons:

Truthfully, there’s no cons for me yet. I’ve had the handle about two months and I can’t find anything I don’t like.

[7.3 x 4 x 1.4"] I got this for my RED Komodo and I absolutely love this piece of equipment. I actually had another top rail solution for the Komodo that I returned because it was too bulky and took too much time to setup. That is not a problem with this one.


The NATO rail is quick and easy to lock in and setup. The build quality is SOLID and feels great in your hands. I also love the 15mm Rod top placement. This is great for EVFs and I personally prefer to have my Follow focus motor above the lens, and this easily allows me to do that. The other great thing, is that because it uses a NATO Rail I have found myself able to use this on my other camera cages and configurations as well. This is one piece of gear that has blown me away.

[0.49 lb] I have this R/S top plate on my Komodo as well as on my V-Raptor. On the Komodo I have the Mutiny Bolt-On V2 Micro record button connected to it, and on the Raptor I would use it to connect my Tilta right side handle with R/S button.


Bright Tangerine is marketing this product as a Run/Stop Plate for Red Komodo, but works on the Red V-Raptor as well, without any issues.

[0.49 lb] Helped me distribute the weight better

[Yes, 180°] The quality of this is outrageous. Even though I moved onto a Red made handle, I am keeping this because it is that good. The metal feels better than anything, maybe the only thing better than this is ARRI made aks. Machining is incredible, TBH this is probably underpriced. I could see it being $450 easily.

[0.49 lb] I shot with my GH5 Mmallrig cage and regular handle for a year. This has made my life so much better. Puts the trigger right where I need it.
