[28mm] I am a Lensbaby user for over a year now. I just love the creative effects you can get with these lenses. I started out with the 85 and have add in this 28 mm.. With a MFD of only 2 inches you can use this for great macro shots. OR at 28 mm is is wonderful for landscapes. Step down to add soft focus or step up and at f8 and higher it will appear as any other lens. 5

[Manual Focus] This lens has been a great tool to bring more warmth to my photos, and it is always in my bag on hikes for getting great macros. Some thoughts: -The velvet effect is controllable and can be fine tuned -Controls are large and intuitive -The lens feels very well constructed, but it is HEAVY 5

[0.5x] I purchased this lens baby lens along with another lens baby lens. I love both of them but wanted to note you may need to change a setting on your camera to allow it to take a picture without a lens. After I made that adjustment I have thoroughly enjoyed the capabilities of this lens and am looking forward to using it on an upcoming photography trip! 5

[Manual Focus] This is my first Lensbaby lens and was excited to try it as soon as it arrived. I’m still learning but so far have been very impressed. I can’t wait to try it in a nighttime street scene. Love the creativity it’s capable of. I look forward to trying more lenses from Lensbaby. [28mm] I already had purchased a couple traditional Lensbaby products and a Velvet 56 which are all really fun! I do enjoy the wide 28 mm look in my scenes and this one using f 2.8-4 does have both glow and a unique sharpness that is quite appealing. The macro ability adds to its charm. It's a surprisingly large lens, but is built nicely. It focuses smoothly, aperture ring is not too clicky, but works well; its image is the best part! (I personally like this silver color lens on my (black) Sony's as a novelty and easily defines this from my Velvet 56. It's a definite go in all respects! 5

[f/2.5] Set your film simulation to Velvia and shoot at f5.6. Beautiful color saturation and some sharpness. Open up to f4 and add glow. Open up to f2.8 and add more glow with beautiful bokeh. This lens adds an ethereal look to your images that’s hard to duplicate in post. I love it. Images shot at f5.6 remind me of the satin smoothness that I used to get with Mamiya medium format lenses. 5
