Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My 32L holds a 600mm. Will this new version 30L hold my Canon 600mm 4.0 III?

A: The Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 30L Backpack is not going to hold the Canon 600mm f4 III . The length of the bag pack would work, but the width of the separate sides is too narrow.

Q: 2. Will the Nikon Z8 fit in this bag?

A: Yes, the Nikon Z8 would make a great camera and bag combo with plenty wiggle room.

Q: 3. What is the interior width for each of the two main compartments?

A: The Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack (Black, 30L) full interior is 20.08 x 11.81 x 5.5". Each section is half of that, at around, 20.08 x 5.905 x 5.5 inches.

Q: 4. Will this fit the A7RIV with the 200-600 attached?

A: The Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack (Black, 30L) is large enough for the Sonly a7IV with the 200-600mm lens attached.

Q: 5. does this bag come with an included waist strap?

A: No, the Gura Gear Kiboko City Commuter 18L+ Roll Top Camera Bag does not include a waist strap.

Q: 6. Will this fit an EOS R3 with a RF 600 f/4 attached?

A: No, the Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack (Black, 30L) is not large enough for the Canon R3 with RF 600 f/4 lens attached or not.

Q: 7. Does Nikon Z9 with 70-200 f2.8S attached fit in this bag?

A: No, the Gura Gear Kiboko City Commuter 18L+ Roll Top Camera Bag (Sahara) is not large enough for the Nikon Z9 with 70-200 f2.8S attached.

Q: 8. What is the width and thickness [in millimeters] of the shoulder straps on the Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack?

A: The Gura Gear Kiboko 2.0 Backpack's strap's width is 75 mm and the thickness is 18 mm.

Q: 9. Will this bag hold a mirrorless with a canon 100-300 2.8 attached?

A: Unfortunately, the Canon RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens does not fit in the Gura Gear Kiboko City Commuter Backpack (Slate Gray, 18L+). This bag is separated into two different compartments and it won't accept such a long lens.

Q: 10. Can it fit Nikkor 800/5.6 lens? I have the G32 from Tamrac and it fits there but that version has the laptop pocket build in, which makes a lot of hassle in smaller planes.

A: No it will not fit , consider this one Lowepro Lens Trekker 600 AW III Backpack (Black) BH #LOLTAW2

[Zipper] I have two other Kiboko bags. I knew this would be the same great quality and small enough to fit under Airline seats.

[Yes] I had wanted this bag for a long time and finally found it on sale for Christmas. I have the 2 smaller ones and they serve their purpose. This one does as well. I am able to carry a 600mm f/4 without the lens hood on 1 side and whatever else I need on the other. I haven't tried the 800mm f/5.6 but it is supposed to work as well. It is a large case but lightweight and manageable. Now I can finally go places with my 600mm lens. You can use the top compartments for batteries and cards as well as hard drives. I have wanted this pack for a long time and finally decided to go for it.

[Black] I needed a sturdy backpack for both general professional use and for a trip to Kenya. Having held and played with both a Wandrd Prvke and Peak designs backpack, and just not feeling the love for either of them. The Wandrd would have been my 2nd choice, but I decided to try this bag, and I big part of that decision was because it is made of X pac fabric, and I was thrilled to be able to order it in the Sahara brown. I'm not really a fan of the coated tarpaulin materials a lot of current bags use, as they eventually show scuffs (Peak Designs Sling bag I'm looking at you) and can delaminate some after heavy use. If you look at pics from people who are selling or post pictures of their Wandrd Prvke after a year to a few years you'll see what I mean.

I needed to fit 2 bodies, 2 pro-level f2.8 zooms, a prime, and a walkaround lens, as well as extra batteries, a jacket, passports, snacks, full size but folding noise cancelling headphones as well as a few other random extras. This pack performed admirably, and I was happy with the luggage passthrough and the comfort of the straps when fully loaded. The pack was heavy with all the gear, but I felt relatively comfortable with everything adjusted. I really like the magnetic buckles, and the front pockets, though I wouldn't mind more gusseting on the bottom of the front pockets to prevent things from falling out if you zip close to the bottom.

Gura Gear is very generous with the pieces to configure the inside of the bag, and the interior is fairly flexible in how it can be arranged. The passthrough works well for me with an A7R IV and either of the bigger zooms. I don't own a safari size zoom and so didn't carry one on the Kenya trip, so I can't speak to trying to fit a lens of that size/weight.

So far I'm pleased. I'd definitely buy another Gura Gear product, and in fact have picked up their memory card wallet and a rain fly for this bag as well. The bag feels very well made.

[Zipper] A little different opening procedure but still very easy. Well made and just the right size for mirrorless Sony gear.

[Yes] Bought this as a weather-resistant bag for travel. Couldn't be happier.

Works great as a daypack with a small camera kit (mirrorless and two lenses) plus plenty of other stuff (rain jacket and pants, sweater, first aid kit, water bottles, lunch, binoculars, etc). Did many days of hiking with this setup and was happy for the generous padding and airflow on the back. Bought a generic rain cover but haven't used it yet. One day, after 3 hours of light blowing rain, the zippers on the tall rear pockets leaked and made the contents damp. Camera at the bottom of the main compartment, inside the side access door, stayed bone dry. In heavier rains I'd add the cover or at least move electronics into the upper roll-top compartment which seems better protected.

Also works well stuffed to the gills as a carry-on (with the previously mentioned gear plus 16 inch laptop, toiletry kit, light jacket, etc etc). This load felt heavy without a waist belt, so I was glad it was set up to slip over a rolly bag handle for airport schlepping.

Now that I'm back home, I'm thinking this will replace my old messenger bag as my everyday carry (car, moto, bike, walk). Not as simple to lift a flap and dump stuff in, but the stuff will be much better protected and much more comfortable to carry.

Note for comparison: I did locally purchase a popular competitor, a 20L branded as an everyday backpack. Although its water-resistant zippers might give it an edge in the rain-proofing department, I found it to be quite limited. If all you want is quick-draw camera capabilities, it's fine. But if you want to carry other stuff, and want easy-access, well-organized exterior pockets, then the Kiboko is a better choice. I will be returning the unused pack and look forward to more time with my Kiboko.

[Yes] Been wanting this bag for a while and decided to jump on it while on sale with $100 off. Plenty of room for me and my wife's gear. Holds my Sigma 150-600 on one side with plenty of space for other things like our lens hoods, our Black Rapid straps and more. We have two Canon DSLR bodies in the other side along with 4 lenses, including a 300mm, also with plenty of space left over for our filters, chargers, batteries, etc. On top of each of the two butterfly closures there is another long zippered flap that opens with pockets inside to hold our cables, disc drives, tools, more filters, cleaning brushes, etc. Laptop pouch on back is nice. THIS IS A BIG BAG!!! It's heavy when loaded down with a laptop and a big zoom lens, but comfortable to wear with all kinds of adjustable straps. Great padding everywhere and comes with more than enough compartment insert pieces and a rain cover. Pricey, but it just may be the last bag you ever buy as far as durability and quality.
