A: Unfortunately it cannot. This cage is designed to hold the camera only, it will not work with the battery grip installed as well.

A: The SmallRig "Black Mamba" Camera Cage for Canon EOS R7 does not block the hot shoe whatsoever, which is clearly visible in the image of the cage.

Q: 10. Will this work for the new BGH1 Cage?

[Canon EOS R7] Solid build, intuitive design, and worth every penny. At first glance it seems a little expensive for a piece of machined metal. I put my BMD P4k in and was wowed by it having attachment points on both the top and bottom. You could realistically swing this around in circles with your arm at full strength and it would still feel solid. When I hold it from the top handle with a LUMIX 18-35 on the camera its well balanced. Between the IOS in the lens and the precision balance of the cage, handheld shooting is about as smooth as it gets. It also solves the problem of needing an extra QR plate to offset it for use on a gimbal (the camera doesnt fit on most of the popular single handle gimbals because of the wide form factor). I take the top handle off when I mount it on a Moza Air and it works great. This is definitely a piece of gear that is worth the seemingly steep price. I will not need another cage for this camera for the duration of its life. 5

[0.735 lb] 8sinn products while a lil bit more expensive than other brands, the quality of course is way better and has much more character. When tightening the Handel screw you can pull the gray knobs and re-adjust and tighten so it does not make contact with lenses or other parts of the rug. 5

[Canon EOS R7] Reviewed a number of difference half-cage solutions and in the end, chose 8SINN. The design and build quality is the best. Could not be happier. 8SINN charges a premium, but totally worth it. 5
