Maybe try using a different QR plate that is compatible with your tripod or your could try mounting your tripod plate to one of the 1/4'-20 receivers on the side of your cage.

[Aluminum] The biggest thing going for this clamp is the fact that the knob doesn't interfere with either the mounting surface or whatever Arca kajigger you clamp to. In other words, if you like to rely on Arca rails over rod clamps, this is about as cheap, durable, and adaptable as it gets. 5

[1/4"-20 Male] This baseplate is high quality. All metal build which was a nice addition to my shoulder rig. Love that this can be mounted on a dovetail and swapped out with any other Tiltaing cage. That makes for quick switches with different cameras which I love. Overall a great product. 5
