Q: 1. Hi, what is the right hood for this lens?

A: The correct lens hood for the Voigtlander Nokton 28mm f/1.5 Vintage Aspherical Type II VM Lens (Leica M, Black) is the Voigtlander LH-6 Lens Hood for 35mm f/1.4 & 40mm f/1.4 Nokton Lens. Please review the following link to find this product: https://bhpho.to/3VMIIdl

A: Yes this does show the framing and has proper rangefinder focusing with this lens on the Leica M.

Q: 3. this dost this dose not take a 49mm filter a 52mm works?

A: The lens directly takes a 49 mm filter. You can then mount the lens hood onto the 49mm filter. Q: 4. Not sure of the FF - to - APSC calculations, but wouldn't this be roughly equivalent to Fuji's 50 f2?

A: As far as perspective is concerned on the same size sensor, a 50mm is a 50mm is a 50mm. In other words, if mounted on the same camera, they will have identical perspectives.

[f/16] This is a really fun lens and very high quality. You can play with depth of focus if your Leica has live view. I love the flattering portrait length.

[0.99 lb] This lens is wonderful! It has rich color without seeming too much like an imposed look, great subject separation at low apertures with smooth bokeh, ability to handle highlights and sharp wide open even in backlit situations. Build quality is superb - light and small for such a long lens with such wide aperture. A great addition to anyones kit bag.

[Manual Focus] I got this lens to pair with an M11 and it has been wonderful. Excellent build quality, image quality, and tactile feel. I love the compact size and balance. The focus tab shape is excellent and feels like an extension of your hand. A fantastic little 35!

[12] One of the finest lenses I've ever used. Mainly this is my go-to lens for portraiture on the S1H with the L-M adapter. Like the 35mm, there's a noticeable vignetting at the widest apertures, but you can correct that in Lightroom, and sometimes the vignette looks really good and organic.

[0.99 lb] I have been shooting since about six months ago with this lens on a Leica M10.

This is a great lens. It was smaller than I expected, handles nicely, operates smoothly and balances well on the M10 body. It's very sharp at all apertures, at least to my not-so-young eyes. Minimal viewfinder blockage without the lens hood, which I haven't found necessary to use.

As you would expect, the depth-of-field is extremely shallow when the lens is wide open. For a head and shoulders portrait at f/1.5, it's difficult to keep both eyes in focus if the subject's head is turned even slightly. And of course for daylight work wide open you'll want a variable ND filter.

I love the perspective of a 75 mm lens. Does nice portraits and good landscapes and cityscapes as well.

I highly recommend this lens.

[12] I am not a professional photographer, but I couldn’t notice any discernible difference in sharpness between this lens and my previous generation 35mm Summilux. Its compact size and weight make it a perfect companion for my Leica M11 in black. I also fitted it with the LH-4N lens hood, and it looks fantastic. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase.

[74.5°] Purchased this as a primary for a Leica M6 with the primary mission being street photography. The lens is sturdy, made well and buttery smooth fast to focus. I keep it at f/8 or more for close street work, as sometimes there is no time to focus. The images are sharp enough, though I have not tested it in all conditions yet. Another factor is that this is a more affordable lens than others... which are likely to be sharper. Hey, it is what it is, and it meets my needs.

[43 mm (Front)] I'm not a professional and can't really compare this to a host of other lenses but I can say that it performs flawlessly. I've not had any gripes about the focusing ring and the image quality is amazing. There are no color aberrations that I can see in any area of a photo and the distortion common to wider angle lenses is not bad at all. It has not been a disappointment in any way.

[28mm] Solid, small, but mighty. The perfect addition to my lens lineup.
Its definitely sharp, doesn't block the viewfinder and looks great on my M11. Build quality is up to par with my Leica lenses, focus tab is buttery smooth.

[Manual Focus] A lightweight high-performance lens for a Very reasonable price. Works really well with a Leica M11, I’ve also really enjoyed using it with my Leica MP.
