A: When using the LanParte MB-02 matte box you would lower the top flag with the side flags on or remove the side flags. The Side flags fold to allow you to lower the top flag.

Q: 5. Would I be able to use this follow focus with a matte box on my rig? It looks like there's no space to mount a matte box and still be able to use the follow focus.

A: The answer depends on what is your rig, your camera, your lens and your matte box. Outside of that, I would say that you can extend the rods provided to accommodate most camera/lens/matteboxes available for this level of rig.
