The SOLIX F3800 stores and delivers up to 3840 watt-hours of power for important appliances, devices, tools, and home systems. The BP3800 expansion battery doubles that capacity for a total of 7680 watt-hours. Maximum output is 6000 watts, with up to 9000 surge watts available for the startup draw from things like power tools.

The inverter of the kit is equipped with five AC outlets, one AC outlet rated for car charging, two 12W USB-A ports, and three 100W USB-C ports. It supplies both 120V power for most electrical appliances and devices and 240V power for large appliances such as dryers.

Integrate the F3800 portable power station into your home electric supply with this kit, featuring a Pro/Tran 2 50-amp, 10-circuit 120/240V manual transfer switch. Professional installation is required.

The batteries can be charged via an AC outlet, from a vehicle charger DC outlet, from a solar panel array with input of up to 2400 watts, or even from an electric car.

The power station can be connected with up to six expansion batteries for a total capacity of 26,880 watt-hours. It can also be integrated into your home's electrical system with separately sold accessories and professional installation.

At 132 pounds, the SOLIX F3800 isn't lightweight. But moving it from place to place is made much easier by the front casters and rear wheels on the base of the unit and the top and bottom handles.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how long is the power cord ?

A: The cable is approximately 8 feet in length.

Q: 2. My understanding is that you are not supposed to daisy-chain surge suppressors. So is it really ok to plug my APC UPS (which has surge protection) into the PST-8? Isn't that plugging one surge protector into another, which everybody says not to do?

A: UPS should be plugged directly to a outlet.

Q: 3. The photo doesn't match it's description. Is it a pair of coaxial connectors or two pairs?

A: This would be a single input, and a single output.

Q: 4. Whats the difference between this and the PST-2+6, which has 2 more outlets yet is $10 cheaper??

A: The B&H # FUPST6 MFR # PST-6 offers a more robust build and a predominately metal cabinet.

Q: 5. Will this work on home stereos and reduce the hiss/hum coming from the speakers when no input is selected just everything powered on. Guessing its from the amplifier. Thanks

A: You can give it a try but more than likely you have other issues (e.g., grounding; interconnection; equipment like your amp) causing the hiss and hum.

Q: 6. What's the difference between the two units? Other than the $50 that is. One labeled standard, other ultrasonic.

A: This version of the product contains 8 filtered and surge protected outlets. the Ultrasonic model consist of 4 digital-ultrasonic noise filtered outlets and 4 linearly filtered outlet.

Q: 7. how long is the power cable from outlet to unit?

A: The AC power cord on this device is 8ft.

Q: 8. Will the PST 8 handle or work well through brown outs like the PST 8 D?

A: The Furman PST-8 Power Station Home Theater Power Conditioner & Surge Protector - 8 Outlets, 2 Coax Pairs & Phone Line Protection BH #FUPST8 is a power strip it is not a battery backup.

Q: 9. What is the surge protection and other functional difference between this and the PST-6? I want to know if both units offer the same protection agains spikes, surges, lightning etc.

A: They do not offer the same level of protection. The pst6 is NOT simply a pst8 with fewer plugs. The pst8 has Furman’s most robust surge protection technology - the same that it uses on its larger, more expensive offerings. The Furman pst8 is the entry into the top tier protection offering and a great value for what you get. See the Furman site for detailed specs.

Q: 10. Does this come in sockets to fit Australian plugs?

A: No, it does not.

[7680 Wh] Very good charger. Except the power supply is too expensive.

[3000 Cycles] The last thing I need is another LED light system, but something about this kit got my attention. And I got it at a discount. I was surprised. It is very sturdy, solidly made. Easy to use and powerful. And the very strong magnets allow the barn doors, etc. to just snap into place. The soft box is excellent and the whole system is worth every penny. It immediately pushed aside a bunch of small lights and took up an active space in my studio. I should have known that Westcott is quality by now.

[7680 Wh] I love the light so much that I bought 3 of them. I use them in our YouTube studio and they work perfectly.

One thing I wish was a little more flexible with the light is the barn doors. Unfortunately, you can rotate them.

[2990 W] If you buy an evolution wireless mic and plan on using a lot this is a must have. Especially with the La2 adapter. No need to open mic body.

[3000 Cycles] This is the second one of these that I've purchased because I really liked the quality of the light from these; small but powerful too. It has enough output to light up a 39 octagonal softbox for a very diffused bright light. It covers much of the temperature spectrum that I normally use and is consistent and repeatable. There's a fan to keep it cool, but it is so quiet, I often forget it has one. I can't hear it on my recordings, even in a very quiet environment. I like that it comes with many accessories—bag, diffuser, mini softbox, barndoors, and a bonus fabric grid. For the price, it does a great job for my needs.

[3000 Cycles] To my surprise this was a very solid unit that puts out plenty of quality light and is well accessorized.

[7680 Wh] Huge fan of this light. With both color and brightness control and a beautiful quality of light this has become a staple in my arsenal. The barn doors are excellent to cut light and Westcott's modifiers are also optional.

[3000 Cycles] Pretty good system. Only think the power transformer is expensive.

[2990 W] Some people will yell, not bright enough! Not I. I have used the Solix for about a year. I don't do a lot of video -- mainly stills. On the past four or five shoots, I've shot in locations where I needed the ambient light bumped up just a bit. Rather than use my strobes (or my Elinchrom ELB 500), I've used these since I can see what I'm getting instantly rather than metering the strobes and trying to balance the power output See my earlier review for a more comprehensive review.
