Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does B&H develop 16mm movie film?

A: No, they don't. They just sell film and chemicals in case that you want to develop your own film. Not an easy thing to do with motion picture. There are some labs that can process or develop film for you in the US. Video & FIlm Solutions is the one that I use, Cinelab, Spectra, Yale Film and Video and Fotokem are just a few. Most of them offer scanning as well. So you can have a digital file of your film and continue your post processing in the digital arena. Editing, color correction or grading and export it to the desired format. Good luck with your project. Film is just beautiful and worth using it.

Q: 2. Is this single or double perf?

A: This is single perf.

Q: 3. Can this be used for super 16mm?

A: Yes, all Kodak 16mm stocks that are 'perforated one edge (winding B)' have sprocket holes on only one side, and so are made for the super 16 format. Also, on a Kodak film canister, look for part of the code number of the film that says '1R', meaning one row of perforations, or super 16. Only older stocks or special order stocks for standard 16mm are '2R', meaning two rows of perforations and you can only use 2R stocks in a standard 16mm camera. Good luck!

Q: 4. Can i load this film under light? and what about the others (500T,50D,200T)!?

A: Absolutely not, in the dark only.

Q: 5. Hi is this film usable for standard 35mm stills camera (Nikon F100) with bulk loading? Is the film perforated on both edges

A: The ORWO UN54 35mm Cine B&W Film (100' Daylight Spool) can be used for movie cameras or 35mm still film cameras.

Q: 6. Will it work for a k100 16mm camera?

A: Yes, this film is compatible with the K100.

Q: 7. There's a lot of confusion about the "single perforated" note, and that's my question too. Is this perforated one edge or both?

A: The ORWO UN54 35mm Cine B&W Film (100' Daylight Spool) is triple perforated film.

Q: 8. Will this work with the krasnogorsk-3?

A: The Krasnogorsk-3 is a 16mm movie camera that can take both double perf and single perf film. Since Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (16mm, 100' Roll, Single Perf) is single perf, you are good to go.

Q: 9. How about the perforation? single or double?

A: The ORWO NC400 ISO 16mm Color Film (100') is single perf film stock.

Q: 10. So this is 250 ISO?

A: This film has an ISO/ASA of 250 when shooting in daylight conditions but an ISO/ASA of 64 when shooting in tungsten lighting conditions along with an 80A filter.

[0.41 lb] The colours on this film oh the colours, it's amazing. The reds are so vibrant and the harsh shadows reminisces of Kodachrome even. Sure it's not Kodachrome, and the grains are on the large side, but it is a unique offering and I'm so glad to have it.

[Color Negative] This is ISO 200 film speed according to my Minolta Dynax A-9. Unlike its cousin NC500, this film has more defined greens and blues, as it appears to be Tungsten based. I rated it at EI 200 and it turned out to be a correct exposure. Overall, NC400 is a great film showing deep ocean blues, deep greens and is unlike any Kodak or Fuji films. I have to try it for portraiture.

[Color Negative] I took this on a day trip out west, and the overcast weather suited the film perfectly. It's pretty grainy, as befitting a more retro-styled film, but it never overpowered the image.
