The flex plus high bright model we got has side inputs in the monitor so attaching the HDMI and SDI cables was easy, not sure how anyone would have issues with this. Love the folding hood and removable back sled. We can swap it from a regular teleprompter to a freestanding teleprompter. For the price it's well worth it, the only complaint I have is the software is a bit dated, but at least the software as included for free. 5

I used an older 17 prompter from Prompter People back in the day, and while it worked well, I had some complaints, largely it being difficult to transport, bulky, and awkward to work with various cameras. The Flex-D-17 is great. It's simple, breaks down into two parts with just loosening some thumbscrews, and the rail system for mounting plates for the camera and tripod makes life a LOT easier than the old nuts-and-bolts method they used to use. I just did a shoot with an FS-100 using Sony Primes. We'd switch out lenses every half hour or so, and it was a simple process: undo the thumb screws, pop the glass and shroud off, put on the lens, reattach the shroud and glass, and it was done. Took about 1 minute for the entire process. 5

I use it with the Canon Xa10 and GH2 Panasonic. Good glass quality, and very sturdy The 17 Screen size is excellent for tapings when the prompter if a bit far from Host, easy to set-up and prompting software is getting the job done. Wished for an external usb or bluetooth controller to control speed scroll direction size and edit. Great product. 5

This is a great prompter for pro-sumer studio operations. It fits well with our Sony EX3 and is a snap to set up and break down. It seems like this would be ideal for many different sized camera because of the adjustable platforms for both the camera and the monitor. May be a little bulky for field production. 5

I've been using teleprompters as a key component of my shoots for the last 4 years, and have relied on my ikan hdmi monitor style prompter ever since. The issue with that one is it relies on these tiny machine screws to keep the whole thing together, so there are a lot of weak spots where I've had to retap and re-screw to prevent it from crumbling. This PP branded prompter is a great replacement. All the same features of the computer-to-hdmi-to-monitor style control, but with one hinge that has a safety stop and minimal threaded weak points. Also I'm loving the 15 size and enhanced font! 5
