[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This head is well made and you just can’t beat the price for the overall quality and construction. It does the job that I wanted and so far I have no complaints.

[0.34 lb] I was looking for something sturdy to hold my Sigma 150-600 in place on a budget and this works perfect. It's easy to assemble and adjust on the fly as needed. BH always has great prices with fast shipping.

[Aluminum] I'm surprised that how reasonable this item is and it's very smooth. Not as tough as Benro one to change angles, and you can be very accurate with the very small shifts of angles.

It's a great geared-head. I highly recommend it as a pro who shoots for real estate / architecture / interiors.

[90°] I love the tripod. Easy to use, easily adjusts, and very stable for a heavy camera. It was actually jammed when I received it, but loved it so much I opted for replacement parts instead of returning it. KentFaith was quick to send the parts as it was still under warranty but past the return deadline. B&H worked with me to get their information.

[Ball Head] The utilization of space in this bag is as good as the best. The price is so good I bought the silver and then the green. To me it does not scream camera bag as much as the premium slings.

[Ball Head] I had been thinking about upgrading my tripod and when the K&F Carbon Fiber came up at a discount, I knew I should take a closer look. After I looked it over I decided to order it knowing that if I didn't like it I could return it, thanks to B&H generous policies. I made a good decision - it's a good solid unit and does everything I want - I can say that having only used it once before writing this review. The fact that it is made in China should not deter anyone from giving it a try. Smooth leg locks, carbon fiber construction, multiple ball head adjustments, pan adjustment, removable center column, and Arca-Swiss compatible. Yep, good stuff. I'm using a Canon DSLR with battery grip and my heaviest lens is my 100-400 EF L II. Very stable on this tripod.

[Ball Head] I have been using ball heads for about 6 years. I do mostly landscape, astro, macro photography. Wow! I wish I had started using gearheads a long time ago. Ball heads, even really good ones, can still dip and mess up your composition after locking off, especially when zoomed at high magnifications. This gear head eliminates that issue. With very precise controls, you can get your composition perfectly without worry of it dipping after locking off. This is more for slow shooting so I wouldn’t use this for sports or wildlife where you need to act quickly. But for its purpose, it is great!

I love the ability to remove the center column to 1.) lower the weight, and 2.) allow your tripod to be lowered very close to the ground. The latter is of particular interest if you are like me, and love getting ultra-wide foreground in your shots.


The second feature that is fantastic is the friction ring for the ball head. Ive had issues in the past with ball heads where when you loosen the knob, your lens causes the camera to just flop over. The friction ring on this ball head prevents that and its an awesome touch.


For the money, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better.
