A: The DRM is a 2RU high frame that can accommodate up to 12 of the smaller AJA Mini-Converters (D4 – D5 series and others of the same size), up to 6 of the larger AJA Mini-Converters (D10 or HD10 series), or a mixture of both. The DRM has a built-in 110/220V power supply with 12 connectors to provide 5V power directly to the Mini-Converters without the need for individual power supplies for each Mini-Converter.

Q: 7. Does the AJA ROI HDMI to SDI Mini Converter support SMPTE Level B for use with Black Magic gear?

A: According to AJA, The ROI family of mini-converters does not support SMPTE Level B 3G SDI output. SDI output of the ROI is specified as follows for the Video Output Tech Specs: (HD) 1920 x 1080p 50, 59.94, 60, SMPTE 425-1 Level A mapping structure 1 (4:2:2 10-bit YCbCr)

A: Yes, you can acquire a spare power supply for the DRM Frame. AJA offers the following spare power supply for the AJA DRM-R2 Mini-Converter Rack mount Frame: the AJA Spare Power Supply for DRM Frame (B&H # AJDRMPSASSY).

A: This CCS Flat Camera Hub Single Kit is only compatible with the harnesses by Cotton Carrier.

[White] After a really long search I finally found a box that will allow me to run GoPros over a long 50 foot SDI cable at 1080p 30 and 60 fps for live streaming. The ATEM did not want to except the Go Pro over HDMI cat 5 extender or AVUE hdmi to sdi converter. I believe it goes into the ATEM at 1080i from the AJA which is why the others were not working as they ouput 1080p though I can't really put my finger on it as my Nikon D5200 worked with the other boxes just not the Go Pro, but HURRAY IT WORKS!!!! I am wondering if Go Pros work with the new Black Magic 4k HDMI to SDI mini converter and the ATEM TV as I don't think they work with the older Black Magic converter going into a ATEM TV, they are a bit cheaper than the AJA. Please let me know if anyone has tested a GO PRO and the Black Magic 4k miniconverter HDMI to SDI converter into the ATEM TV. Cheers! 5

[White] We use this to convert a presentation podium DisplayPort output to SDI. The SDI signal is routed to a video switcher. Love the high resolution, really an improvement to have all SDI, rather than good old composite video. Had to download the AJA mini-config software to set up the way we wanted, but that went well. 5
