Put this into my RX10iv for an all-night timelapse, which is beyond the capability of the single battery. Worked fine for 12 hours with lots of charge left in the USB power pack. RX10iv can run on USB power directly, but the only USB port has to be used for the interval timer, so the dummy battery is necessary. The RX100vii has a built-in interval timer, but that wasn't included on the RX10iv. 5
