Upgrade your preexisting Flex Plus Studio teleprompter system using this Flex Plus Studio Teleprompter Upgrade Kit with 17" Monitorfrom Prompter People. Included in the kit is a 17" monitor with 1000 cd/m² brightness and a 17" trapezoidal piece of 65/35 beamsplitter glass with reliable color reproduction and clarity for improved script visibility. The monitor features 3G-SDI, HDMI, Composite, and VGA video connectivity for plug-and-play compatibility with most computers and cameras.

The included dongle contains a digital download of the TeleScroll prompting software. A VESA mounting plate helps attach the monitor to your teleprompter configuration. Use the pre-assembled hood to shield your glass from direct sunlight and swap it out when using a different sized monitor. A fabric lens cover accommodates a wide array of camera lenses. The upgrade kit can be easily integrated into your preexisting setup thanks to the installation tool kit.

A: Sorry Geoffrey - it wouldn't take any droplets around this light - would short circuit for sure - it's a great light - but they really need to do something about the cheesy plastic female light stand connector.

Q: 2. i didn't see any remote controls. Is there any that can be used with? Which one recommanded? Thanks

A: This Teleprompter comes with PrompterPro 3.0 Teleprompting Software which works with both a Mac and PC. We have Multimedia Controllers from Contour Design that work with the included software and is compatible with both Mac and PC as well. The Shuttle-Xpress would be a great choice.

Q: 3. I ordered the Dracast LED1000 Plus Series Daylight LED Light last night and saw in the FAQ that a (rigid) diffuser was included, but I don't see it in the In the box . I'd like to add the color correction gel pack but without a slide in diffuser I don't see a way to attach them (clothes pins don't look like a viable option. Does a diffuser come with it?

A: The Dracast LED 1000 Plus is the equivalent output of a 650 watt hot-light

A: Dual monitor support would be a feature of the computer being used. If the computer supports dual monitors the software can send the signal to both.

Q: 6. What is total light output equivalent to say quartz light?

A: This panel would be have the approximately output equivalent of 500 watts of tungsten.

Q: 7. How is this teleprompter compatible with PTZs?

[Aluminum] I'm using this teleprompter in my small home studio. This is the only teleprompter I've ever used so I might be speaking out of ignorance but I can tell you it's awesome. Talk about putting the fun back into long winded spiels. The set-up was about 15 minutes from being in the box to using it. I shoot with an EX1R and the included 'universal sizing' bracket fit great. The iPad app is very intuitive and very reasonably priced. No complaints. I would certainly recommend this product. 5

[Aluminum] I wanted recommend this company and their products, to anyone in the market for a reliable prompting system. My company owns three Prompter People systems, a Q-Pro, a Flex Plus, and a set of presidential paddles. Our Q-Pro has been in service since 2007 and we are still using the original monitor. We have never unboxed the backup. The 17 Q-Pro has been all over the world. It is super simple to setup, and can be run in the field from a portable battery pack, all day. Our clients are very demanding and we don't have time to deal with temperamental equipment or software, which is why I recommend this company and their products so highly. The reason I am leaving this review, is that I recently ordered a Flip-Q software dongle to replace one that came apart after 15 years of use. (Ironically, the software still worked, the USB drive just plugged in without its external case.) They immediately sent me a downloadable software license to use while the dongle was in transit and we never had an issue. Everything is well made. We have NEVER had an issue or failure with electronics, or component parts. I rarely leave reviews, but when a company goes above and beyond from a service standpoint, and has a great product (multiple great products), I want to make sure other know about it. 5

[17"] I love how slim and light weight it is. It makes it more portable. With all the other equipment, things can get heavy so portability is a plus. Have not had any problems with it. It has HDMI and VGA connections. It has a button that can flip the image (or words). I use it as a teleprompter monitor. Seems very high quality at a very affordable price! 5

[Aluminum] This prompter was easy to set up and use with my Panasonic HVX-200 and Ipad 2. All I needed was a flathead screwdriver to adjust the mounting plates and balance the rig on my tripod. I used it 2 days in a row. I figure that this prompter minus the ipad paid for itself in 2 days. I use to rent a prompter with an operator for $400-$550 a day. The next step for me is to buy a Thermodyne or Pelican case to store the prompter. It is well worth the money. 5

[17"] This is a great teleprompter for the price, honestly you wont find a better option in this price range, also the support that prompter people gives is great. They helped me setup the prompter, and the software. I read an earlier review that mentioned flip-q lite, but was happy to learn that they have not been sending out flip-q lite for a long time, and now the full version of flip-q is provided for free with the prompter. The software is easy to use, and the fact that monitor automatically flips the image makes it even easier to do things like power points or interrotron setups with this prompter. All-in-all Im very happy with my purchase. 5
