The wiring scheme used by Sony differs from that used by most other companies, but the Sennheiser 3.5mm connector is considered universal for nearly all non-Sony devices.

A: This model of the Sanken COS11D is wired specifically for use with the Sony UWP wireless system, transmitters. it is likely it will produce audio when connected to the Roland R05, however the locking connector prevents the mic jack from being properly seated. This would not be recommended for use other than intended. Sanken does not currently offer a model compatible with portable audio recorders. A: This Sanken COS-11D is designed to work with a Sony wireless bodypack transmitter. The mic requires 3 to 10V plug-in power which will be supplied by the transmitter. It will work with the UWP-D11 and D21 wireless systems.
