A: Unfortunately this mic is not compatible with the RodeLink wireless system. In addition using the mic with devices other than the specified Sennheiser wireless transmitter is not guaranteed to operate and not recommended. Sanken does not currently offer a mic designed to be used with portable digital recorders via 3.5mm jack.

Q: 2. Hi, whats the length of cable typically on these lavs?

A: Jim: Unfortunately I'm very far from home and my Sanken lav mics at the moment. The length is actually very long. I think it's about 10 feet. If you are worried about the length being too short: don't worry. If you have a very specific need let us know more. I use my mics mainly for interviews so I have the extra wire length gently wound up and clasped.

Q: 3. Are these locking 3.5mm / ⅛in connections compatible with the Saramonic uwmic9? The wireless receiver has a bit of a lip around the outlet…

A: Unfortunately they are not. Sanken makes the COS-11D for many wireless systems. If you don't see the name of your system listed. Then it is not made for you're system. All 3.5mm connectors are not wired the same. Because it's made for Sennheiser doesn't mean it's wired for your 3.5mm system.

Q: 4. Hello, what's the difference between this COS-11D and the one with the mini connector ? Both are advertised for use with the Sennheiser EW wireless system, but the mini connector version is more expensive.

A: No accessories will be included with this version.

Q: 5. Will this work with the new Sennheiser XSW-D Portable Lavalier Set? I'm wondering about power and plug. Also, will I even notice an improvement over the included ME2-II?

A: Yes it is compatible. Yes you should notice an improvement in quality.

Q: 6. Have TASCAM DR-10 -- Will this work and what is the name of the locking connector I need?

A: This Sanken COS-11D microphone comes with a 1/8 TRS locking connector (it screws onto the wireless transmitter so it stays secure). It is advertised for the Sennheiser G3 transmitters but looking at the Tascam DR-10 it appears to have the same 1/8 TRS plug, so it should work fine.

Q: 7. I found this mic at the video you guys made for Tascam DR-10L Digital Audio Recorder. This unit operates with aaa battery 1.5V However this mic requires 3 to 10V???

A: This is ultimately a question for Tascam. You need to know the voltage provided by the DR-L10. Do not assume it to be the same as the supply voltage.It is true that the COS-11 BP (Belt pack) runs on single AA, but the voltage supplied to the mic is actually multiplied within the belt pack.

Q: 8. Does this work and lock with the Tascam DR-10L?

A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector is not advised for use with the Tascam DR-10L, as it requires 3V of plugin power at a minimum and the DR-10L can only provide 2V.
