[ARRI PL] Very happy with this lens, gorgeous cinematic landscape and portrait. Very sharp lens. I use the lens for photography paired with Sony a7riii and a7riv. I do not shoot videos at all.

[T2] When I saw the many video reviews and demos of the Remus Lenses and the price for a set, I knew that they were going to be my first venture into anamorphic lenses.

Although it took almost 3 months to get the set, it was well worth the wait. I recommend this model, for it's budget and it's quality build. It's really amazing.

[T2] .I would characterize myself as an amateur filmmaker, or at least a serious hobbyist, who has had no experience with cinematic lenses. This lens was an absolute blast to experiment with. It's a solidly built metal body, with smooth-turning geared focus and aperture rings. It is manual focus, but with the use of focus peaking, very sharp images can be achieved. Not coming from a cinema background, T-stops are a bit mysterious to me, but the wide T2.9 aperture (which I've read is roughly equivalent to f2.1) allows lower ISOs in low light conditions. A nice bonus is the inclusion of a lens pouch. For an example from my first shoot with this lens, visit https://youtu.be/462z64lIzUc. I look forward to playing much more with this fun lens.

[Full Frame] Excellent value! Just make sure to buy a 82mm close-up vivitar lens set as well as it will make this lens a lot more useful and also mitigate some of its weaker points. Weight is great as well. Overall this is a very good mix of Anamorphic bliss for full frame sensors and image quality especially when you want flares a little more controlled. I'm using it with the Red V-Raptor VV.

[40mm] Excellent budget anamorphic lens. It works exceptionally well with my Sony A7sIII full frame camera. The Viltrox DC-X3 on camera monitor just complements the whole setup. It has exec 1.6 de-squeeze factor to help you compose every shot.

[Silver] Blazar nailed this and no its not a perfect lens... but for under a grand ITS INSANE that a TINY and LIght-weight anamorphic getting you that old panavision c-d series aesthetic but you can actually own these. Are they 2x no obviously not - My Gemini is 30x18mm (rounded) and on 4 perf S35 ie larger S35 chips like my Red Gemini this Lens is a DREAM... Its definitely soft wide open as most vintage anamorphics are and has some CA and flaws but they are very organic... and although the squeeze isnt 2x the Bokeh are CLEARLY oval and the blue streaks (got the blue streak PL ) are great... I always think you need to see how SMALL they are to believe it I dont need a support on My Gemini or when using the FF on my Eos r5. I cant wait for rest have 100 and Hoping the 85 comes soon and then the 33mm FF But this one is a must if you can only buy one.

[40mm] The results of the Anamorphic lens on the R5c are amazing. The lens has the right amount of sharpness. The bokeh and the lens flares add a nice look to your film. I plan on buying the 75mm version when it is released :)

[T2] I've only done tests on location with these before the shoot I've been planning next week... These lenses have a dreamy, droopy, anamorphic look wide open, but I wouldn't suggest using them wide open unless you need a dreamy look. Super soft wide open. At T2.8 it gets better but T4 is where it actually gets sharp. For more context, I'm shooting on a C70, and we know that camera is on the softer side...

Aperture/Focus rings are smooth and a pleasure to use.

Focus breathing is not great, but depending on the shot your going after, it could be ok. They do some funky things when panning or handheld. I plan to use these lenses mostly locked off, on a slider, dolly, etc for nice smooth controlled shots with an artistic look.

Definitely recommend.
