Designed for astrophotography but also great for observation, the ZWO FF107 Telescope with 26MP Camera & GoTo Mountfrom ZWO FF107 Telescope with 26MP Camera & GoTo Mountfeatures a quadruplet air-spaced apochromatic lens system that eliminates the need to use a separate field flattener. The quad APO with two extra-low dispersion elements also dramatically reduces chromatic aberration and eliminates the need to calculate back focus distance—just attach your camera with one of the four included adapters and you're ready for imaging. The f/7.0 focal ratio and 749mm focal length lend themselves to both planetary and deep-sky photography. An optional diagonal and eyepieces are required for visual use.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the references to time in the App all based on Chinese time?

A: The time is based on your smartphone and location when using the ZWO Seestar S50.

Q: 2. Another vendor reports that the safety of the Seestar solar filter is uncertain. Does B&H have any information on this?

A: There are no safety issues involving the ZWO Seestar S50 50mm f/5 All-in-One Smart Telescope, to our knowledge.

Q: 3. I know I need wi-fi to download app. Do I still need it to operate telescope, "in the field"? IE a no wi-fi location?

A: The ZWO Seestar S50 50mm f/5 All-in-One Smart Telescope does not need Wi-Fi when in use. It can communicate with your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth.

Q: 4. Would this be a good choice for viewing planets, I.e. Jupiter, Saturn, etc?

A: Planets appear small and are very bright in the eVscope. Because they are so bright, they can only be observed in "Live View" mode. The same is true for the moon, but it just about fits into the eVscope's field of view (its height does not quite fit). Can I see planets with a telescope? Image result for Can eVscope see planets? With just a small or medium-sized telescope, skygazers can easily observe planets. You'll be surprised how much of our solar system you can see! And you don't need a dark sky to view all of our solar system's planets; even under city lights, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn can be easy to see with a telescope.

Q: 5. Do I need WiFi and Bluetooth connections to operate my SeeStar S50? Is Bluetooth alone adequate?

A: Both wi-fi and Blue Tooth are needed to use the Zwo Seestar S50. Please ensure your phone or tablet has access to the Internet(mobile data or Wi-Fi).

Q: 6. Can I use DSLR adapter?

A: Yes there is a way to connect a DSLR to this scope. I would need to know exactly which DSLR you have to recommend the proper adapters.

Q: 7. Do I need to use AstroNet if I do not plan on sharing or posting images?

A: Yes. Astronet is the name of the app that is used in order to allow your smart phone to communicate with the ZWO Seestar S50. No one is ever required to share their photos.

Q: 8. What are the dimensions of the OTA and the mount? Looking for a case to carry the telescope as check in bag.

A: Unfortunately the Manufacturer only provides the Length of the Scope it's 24 . The Mount you could fit with the Tripod in the Lightware C6042 42 Cargo Case, Padded. Website link: https://bhpho.to/2llio5l

Q: 9. Does this have any dust or moisture protection? Will it be ok in mild dewey weather or dusty desert atmosphers?

A: The ZWO Seestar S50 50mm f/5 All-in-One Smart Telescope is not moisture resistant but it has a built in dew heater to remove dew build up which often occurs at night. It is not sealed against dust.

Q: 10. What type of lunar and planetary imaging can I expect with the eVscope 2?

A: The Unistellar eVscope 2 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope is fine for lunar viewing but planets will only appear as bright stars. The telescope lacks proper magnification for planetary viewing.

[Refractor] This has been working out great for me. I have a full astro setup with ZWO cameras, OnStepX controlled EQ mount and a 8se. THat still gets better pictures but the setup time and cost makes this one a dream to work with compared to my full rig.

[f/7] Extremely useful beginner scope. Before being stumped by all the image processing required to get a first photo, this scope does everything as presents you the image. Worth every bit and came just in time for the solar eclipse.

In a city environment the embedded light pollution filter is very effective and we were able to see our first view of Orion through Seestar s50.

Convenience and portability helps us keep at the hobby going without a lot of weight lifting and motivates us to take the bigger scope out on a clear sky night.

Haven’t yet figured out how to use it effectively for planetary observations. I suspect the focal length is a limitation there.

[2"] What makes this great is how it finds the object you search for and how it processes images. Also the updates they send out are nice too.

[32.72 lb] Unfortunately we get too much rain in the Pacific Northwest so my clear nights a few. On those nights, Seestar works as advertised. Its amazing to see star clusters, nebula, galaxies, and other wonders take shape with in minutes. I'm newly retired and looking forward to spensing my time in the stars.

[749 mm] Hello there... I'll start with this... I had watched a number of YouTube vids on this unit and I thought I knew what to expect. I received more than that. Honestly in my short time with the scope I have fallen in love with astronomy again. It's magical. The Seestar S50 works as advertised! Been awhile since I purchased something that delivered as I'd hoped... BTW-- I am in Denver. We're severely light polluted. The scope shows me things I cannot see naked eye. I believe I'm just barely scratching the surface of what it can do. Some folks says it's a toy. I vehemently disagree. It's a quality instrument. Take a look out there and see what people are doing with this 500 dollar instrument. The tech here is impressive. I have already taken a few photo's (and have more to be tuned up) and they are exciting to me! Check on YouTube for a wealth of highly informative Seestar S50 usage tutorials and tutorials on photo editors of which many are free. B&H were (as they always have been) super professional, helpful and polite. The experience was superb. No regrets... I wish you all clear skies! :)

[f/7] Love this smart scope. I went with this over the Dwarf II & III because this is ZWO and I have many of their products on my main rig. ZWO is one of the industry leaders in astrophotography. Future software updates will make this scope even better.

[f/7] This C11 was a gift from a person who knew I loved telescopes. The Electronics no longer worked and was just taking up space in their garage. It has come to back to life with the CGX and is going to give me many years of great exploring the night sky. It is well built and very user friendly. Glad I chose this and the folks at B&H were great at answering my questions without pressure to “purchase now”! So far, it has exceeded my expectations!

[32.72 lb] It's big and heavy but if you want a mount that will hold a load and track well this is it. Third day out with it and I had sub .5 total RMS most of the night hitting a low of .38! Love the internal cabling, carry handles, and large knobs.
