A: The small would be fine and would fit nice and tight, but if you want a bit of room, the medium would be better suited since that filter measures about 3.5 in diameter and the medium hood hat is meant for front elements from 3.5"-4".

A: The Tiffen 82mm Variable Neutral Density Filter does not have front filter threads, so standard lens caps are incompatible. The Kaiser 100mm Push-On Lens Cap, BH #KALC100, is a little large. Adding gaffer tape around the inside edge does allow the cap to fit.

A: It depends on your camera. If you can white balance with the filter applied to the lens then you should be fine. I've had no issues and in general I don't worry about IR pollution.

A: We recommend always having a Tiffen UV filter on your lens. The Tiffen VND can attach to the outside filter threads on the UV filter, however when shooting at wide angle you may experience vignetting. If so, you will have to remove the UV filter and just shoot with the VND.
