A: I agree with Eric. The bottom side cylinder clamps probably would not work on the hole. I would suggest as resolution, to get a 1x1 wood block cut to cover the hole on the bottom then you could clamp the wood to the desk and solve the issue.

A: I bought three of these and use them with 27 inch monitors. They are well built, stable and adjustable. These mounts come with a full complement of mounting hardware. I highly recommend these quality mounts.

A: I think you are referring to Manfrotto Super Clamp. Any clamp with 1/4 20 thread hole will work. Manfrotto Super Clamp has one 1/4 20 thread hole. I will recommend using the smaller clamp shown in picture, it is strong enough.
