[ARRI LPL Mount] The adapter is being used attach a vintage Asahi Pentax 50mm F1.4 Super Takumar M42 Screwmount lens to a Nikon F mount camera body. The adapter permits this particular lens to focus at infinity. The quality is fine, and the adapter works well.

[Brass] I bought this to connect an old Zenit "Bokeh Monster" to my Fujifilm X-H1. Perfect fit straight out of the box. Great test shots. Now I need a bokeh subject.

[ARRI LPL Mount] If anyone is looking for a basic M42 adaptor, this does the job pretty well. My Super Takumar lens fits quite nicely, doesn't wiggle or anything so definitely a 10/10. Probably end up getting one more as backup.

[0.195 lb] I've tried a few different PL mount adapters of varying prices from low to high. I can say with certainty that this is one of the best I've ever used. It has great machining, tight tolerances with no play when locked in. The lens feel supported and secure with the handful of lens sets I've tried. I have used other Simmod products in the past and have been happy so far with the quality of everything. I highly recommend giving this a try.

[ARRI LPL Mount] Having dealt with adapters over many years, you know that nothing comes close to a PL mount (don't get me started on positive lock EF, not even close... plus even Canon has kicked EF to the curb). LPL now takes PL and makes it literally bigger and better. For whatever reason, changing PL lenses always took a while to get it to sit in perfect for the lock to work, but so far with LPL it's been a piece of cake every time. Maybe that's an added bonus thanks to the rear guide? Anyhow, you may be thinking well the LPL to L is still a click-in adapter to the camera body. Correct, but Ron has created a collar that allows you to bolt the collar down to a plate along with the camera cage, then tighten the collar on the adapter and it's not moving. To be honest, even without the collar, these mounts are super accurate, so very little play with them to start with, but the collar just locks everything down tight. I always hated when using a follow focus (especially a focus motor) and every time you made an adjustment it shifted the lens in the mounts. Even the tiniest bit of movement showed up in the shot, so when you have two weak points, you get a lot of movement when you throw in some torque. With this setup, any movement between the lens and camera is now completely gone. I bought 4 LPL to L mounts and collars, instantly you should realize that is a big investment, but 100% worth it. Every time I use them, they make me happy, so thank you Ron and crew for continuing to push this industry forward!!

[Brass] Works perfect with my fx3, fx6 but could not get it to go on the Venice 2.

[ARRI LPL Mount] At first ....I thought it was abit difficult, but in a short time I mastered the handling and the adapter smoothed out during it's use.
Now it's quicker and smoother to handle .
I'm pleased with this one.
Note: Used on a Fujifilm X-H1 with a Contax G lens adapter lens.

Feels solid and the fits are great without significant play. It is simply a connector, no electronic communication, so all lens functions are manual.
I plan to use the adapter on my XT-2.
