A: This hub charges the laptop via the USBC Pass Through charging port on the front of the hub.

A: There are a number of bug reports of issues with the current iOS version on the iPad pro having problems reading media cards without huge numbers of hoops to be jumped through. Remember: iOS does not treat external memory cards as "just another file system" to work with.

Q: 3. Will this enable transferring data (raw camera files) from the IPad Pro to a SSD? Currently one can only export via WiFi.

A: If your external SSD would be via USB C, then you would be able to transfer from the iPad to the SSD or the SSD to the iPad.

Q: 4. will this work with MacBook Pro as well?

A: This model could only physically fit on a 2018 iPad Pro.

Q: 5. Does it support 4K @ 60 Hz or only 30 Hz?

A: It supports 4k@30Hz only.

Q: 6. Can I read a usb drive storage and transfer data?

A: Because the iPad pro doesn't support a USB hard drive, you should be able to use a flash drive in the USB Type-A port.

Q: 9. What "apple" certification does this have? I have bought SO MANY dongles and connectors that are SUPPOSED to work with apple products. After 3 months or the next iOS upgrade - I always get an error message stating that this is NOT AN AUTHENTIC Apple product and may not work. (And of course - it is will now no longer work).

A: In order for an item to be Apple Certified, it would have to pass a series of tests. And after that Apple would have to test it. If everything passes it would be officially Apple certified

Q: 10. Can the usb c port transfer data? Or it's just for charging

A: The USBC port in this model can do both charging and high speed data transfer.

[0.245 lb] My Apple Watch is older now and not holding a charge through the day so I wanted a compact charging solution I could have with me at all times. I usually carry an Anker magnetic battery to with a USB c port in my daily bag and this charger slots into that perfectly when I need a boost - no more wires! It also works well on the slot of my MBA so that is great for business travel too. 5

Love how portable it is and doesn’t take up too much room/space and also Mac compatible. No issues with my Mac laptop and I don’t lose my port charger since I have an Airbook. Perfect addition since I don’t have the Ethernet port in case of any WiFi issues. 5

[0.245 lb] I got this as a backup charger to my travel charger for my M1 Macbook Pro while it was on special for $39. To be honest I wasn't expecting it to work, but it does, and works very well - I've been using it this entire trip and very happily. My travel charger, meanwhile, is charging other devices.... Definite recommend. 5

[USB-C Male] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This adapter is great; if you're traveling, or otherwise in a place with slow, unpredictable, or intermittent wifi, it's awesome to be able to convert a device without an ethernet port to be able to access a wired source. And the added charging port ensures that you will be able to keep using the usb port taken up by the adapter itself. Definitely something everyone should have in their desk or travel bag just in case. 5

[USB-C Male] Works as expected with my 16 inch MacBook pro from 2019. I keep it in my bag so that if I forget the original adapter I have something that works just as well. I have had good experience with Satechi products and would recommend the quality as well. 5
