A: I use my Proscope for closeup inspection of failed components for failure analysis. I use it on my iPhone 5s. You just slide the Proscope onto your cell phone or tablet. Press the Proscope power button for a second or two for the LED lights turn on. Turn on the phone or tablet as normal. Place the Proscope on its lens and feet. It is surprisingly stable arrangement. Launch the standard camera app and the phone's own camera takes photos thru the macro lens assembly. Just tap the phone's screen to pick the auto focus location then click the on screen shutter button. Since you are using the phone's own camera you take photos just like you normally do already. Tips:You will notice the camera will capture the Proscope's plastic frame around the edges of the image. Just zoom in on the camera's screen to eliminate capturing the extra edge. On my iPhone you can also long press the screen and after a second or two the exposure and focus lock so you can spend your time on composition and not on the auto focus trying to get a lock. The manufacturer hints that it has zoom capability but there is no optical zoom in the Proscope. What you are doing is digital zoom which is basically just cropping the image.
