Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does the free plan send the first 100 pictures taken each month, or can you browse thumbnails to choose which images are sent?

A: The free plan only sends the first 100 photos to your phone. After that the photos would be retrievable by accessing the memory card or buying a higher level plan.

Q: 2. Will the camouflage fade and turn to easily visible colors over time? Two other name brand cameras I've owned have done so.

A: I found no documentation about camouflage fade and turn to easily visible colors over time

Q: 3. Will this version work in Canada?

A: Unfortunately no. All of the Spypoint cameras we sell only use US based cellular carriers.

Q: 4. The SPECS / Physical section of the Browning Recon Force Elite HP5 Trail Camera lists 512 GB of "Built-in Memory". The same section for the Browning Spec Ops Elite HP5 does not list any "Built-in Memory". What exactly is this Buil-in Memory for that Recon model? Is that camera able to take and store pics and video without a Memory Card inserted? The manufacturer site (Browning) does not say the Recon has any internal "built-in memory" that would be usable for that purpose. Can you please explain what this Built-in Memory is for?

A: If a camera or trail camera has "built in memory" images are recorded onto a internal hard drive. The Browning Recon Force Elite HP5 Trail Camera BH #BRBTC7EHP5 • MFR #BTC 7E-HP5 does not have any internal memory and requires a SD memory card to capture and record images. The Browning Recon Force Elite HP5 Trail Camera BH #BRBTC7EHP5 • MFR #BTC 7E-HP5 can take an SD card up to 512GB. The error will be correct on the B&H website.

Q: 5. Will it work on the T-Mobile network? Is there a T-Mobile service charge?

A: The true Dual-Sim configuration means the FLEX automatically connects to the best cellular network available. Even if the primary network becomes unreliable, the FLEX will monitor other networks automatically to see if a better network can be found. A completely redesigned antenna makes that connectivity more reliable than ever.

Q: 6. What is the focal length of the lens and sensor size as like to videograph small birds near nest boxes?

A: Sorry but Browing does no give that information even on there website: https://browningtrailcameras.com/products/strike-force-pro-xd

Q: 7. Is this a no glow flash?

A: No, the flash on the Browning BTC-5HD-APX-20C Strike Force Apex HD Trail Camera (20MP) is not considered a No-Glow flash.

Q: 8. ?What does "Nationwide" mean?

A: The cellular service is not international. There are only US service providers.

Q: 9. Can you use the NiMH rechargeable batteries listed by B+H on this page? Some camera companies discourage the use of rechargeable batteries saying they do not provide enough power.

A: Yes you can use Rechargeable Batteries in this Trail Camera. I have not heard of the Model having issues when using these kinds of Batteries.

Q: 10. Does this camera have any visible lights? Need to use this as a security camera and any glow will defeat its purpose.

A: Good morning, The Strike Force Pro XD (Model# BTC-5PXD) has an standard infrared flash that does have a visible low red glow at the bulbs when the flash is triggered. If you are looking for an invisible flash for security purposes I would advise the Dark Ops Pro XD (Model# BTC-6PXD). BTC Customer Service

[48x IR LEDs] Bought this trail cam and I love it. Does what it needs to do. But more importantly B and H sent me a new camera unlike the previous camera I bought from another website, the box was opened and instruction packet was crumpled up. Leaves me to believe that I was sent and opened item or a return item. Not happy! Won’t happen here, I am already purchasing a 2nd camera from B and H. B and H thanks for delivering on time again and again.

[48 MP] I have purchased MANY Browning Recon and Strike Force game cams over the past ten years, and they've given me tons of great photos and videos. This particular model, BTC-5FHD5, is the first Ive had with a smaller display that does not feather a preview of what's on your SD card. Get a card reader if you need to inspect what you've recorded, these preview windows are too small to see image details. However, this model produces excellent quality shots, and its compact and built to withstand the elements and slaps and poking from bears to bluejays.

[1.065 lb] The Cornwall Conservation Commission has purchased 5 of these cameras to record how wildlife are using specific habitat. They have been dependable and the day time pictures are quite good. First time using trail cameras and I like these a lot.
