Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this come with a helmet mount and do you have to buy it seperate

A: It does come with a helmet mount. You have better options of action cam now. Check out Gitup Git2 and Sj5000 Elite.

Q: 2. hello when i try to connect via usb to my mac pro nothing shows up. any help?

A: Here are several suggestions with the point to remember the computer wants to read the MicroSD card and not the camera. 1.Make sure the card is in the camera and is properly inserted. 2 Try a different USB input. This is particularly true on laptops and it will need to be a powered USB input. 3. Use a different USB cable; any with the correct connections will work. 4. Try a different computer. 5. Get another MicroUSB card, make sure to format it in the camera and try that.

Q: 3. Can I use a USB bus power for extended time? By connect a usb power bank?

A: Yes. On my SJ4000 Wi-Fi, to charge the battery while the camera is on you must change the Car Mode setting in the Setup menu to On. The camera will then recognize the USB connection as a charger and not an image download. Change it back again when you want to download images and recordings to your computer.

Q: 4. My sister stole my charger because I would not let her temporarily have it because 4 times i told her not to press the power while recording but she did it 5 times so I have a G or two of locked footage and no charger except a micro USB for my phone, can I use that?

A: In our opinion, you should be fine if you use your phone charger to recharge the battery. On the other hand, you two have probably patched things up by now.

Q: 5. Does this camera support video out on the USB while recording?

A: According to the manufacturer and an earlier reply by B&H to a similar question, the answer is yes. From B&H: It is the Micro USB to AV Out Cable for SJ4000 Action Camera FPV. It is for aerial photography and FPV (First Person Viewing) B&H currently does not stock this cable. Here it is available on the SJI site.http://bit.ly/1iwcYUa

Q: 6. Has anyone tested the USB webcam functionality of this camera on a Linux system? I'm wondering whether it might be recognized as a webcam device by a Raspberry Pi running the Debian 'Wheezy' operating system. Thanks!

A: SURE, BY MISTAKE I BOOTED MY COMPUTER INTO KUBUNTU 14 10 AND THEN IN FACE BOOK AND THE PERSON THAT I WAS CHATING SAW ME AND TOLD ME THAT SHE COULD SEE ME.

Q: 7. Can I connect the SJCAM SJ4000 via USB port (or other cable?) to my iPhone and view the live feed from the iPhone?

A: No - but a live video stream is available when the camera is connected via USB to a computer.

Q: 8. What are the dimensions of this camera?

A: Maybe 3 by 2

Q: 9. Does anyone knows how many Frames per second tho it record on 1080?.Thanks

A: It records at 30 frames/second. Quite adequate for any video. If you want to slow down motion , e.g. the catch of ball by wide receiver, then you need higher speed (but those are cameras used by TV networks...).

Q: 10. Is there any performance difference between the SJ4000 silver and the SJ4000 black?

A: There are no performance differences at all between the black and the silver versions. The only differences are cosmetic in nature.

[PLA] This material is one of my hands down favorites. The color intensity is truly a charcoal black. To me, it beats all other silk materials because of its light diffusing properties. Its rough to the touch and doesn't have the dry time CF does. Fantastic material and I will keep buying it again and again

[Yellow] This stuff is fantastic. I don't see much of a difference in color, versus other materials of the same color but this material has had the least number of issues along with the bulk of the prints I have made with it. I tend to like polymaker in general for standard colors and base materials so, I will purchase this again when needed.

[PLA] This took two spools of yellow to create this basketball size Pac Man for my front yard garden. This yellow PLA turned out great and has weathered for about 6 months with no discoloration.

[PLA] This stuff is impressive. It has a much higher tolerance for printing fine pieces. Its sand-able and workable and much more rigid than PLA. It does have some issues I'm finding joints aren't as well supported because of the fiber content versus plastic but once I engineer the model to accommodate, it works amazingly well.
