[Rubber] I bought this cap because when you use slim filters (required for wide angle lenses) don't have enough of a lip for standard lens caps to attach too. This cap sits over the filter and lens. I tried it with slim and regular filters and it does the trick every time. I hesitated to buy this brnad as BH sells another make which is cheaper, but people commented that the other cap fell off. Kaiser's has enough of a ring that it stays put. I am glad I paid the extra $2 because this works well. I highly recommend.

[Black] Ultra wide lens usually need thin filters to avoid vignetting. Thin filters, due to their extreme thinness, do not have front threads to allow the use of the lens manufacture's lens cap. Push-on lens caps such as the 80mmm by Kaiser can be used with 77mm thin filters, but with caution as the caps are retained only by friction and can be easily lost if they do not have a snug fit. The fit with the Kaiser push-on appears to be much better than the cheaper versions, which I found to be more easily lost.

[0.105 lb] I needed a push-on lens cap for a 77mm variable neutral density filter which has no front threads and cannot accept a clip-in lens cap. I ordered four items: the Kaiser 80mm push-on lens cap (KALC80), the Polarpro (PODFNDR82), the Schneider (SCLC80), and a set of five Sensei cap keepers (SECKL5K). This is a well made lens cap, but it didn't fit an tighter than the Kaiser, which cost less than half. So, I returned it.

[Black] If you have a B+W 77mm Slim CPL then this is the lens cap for you. Don't make the same mistake I did and order the 77mm cap thinking it will fit over the 77mm filter it does not (I did that and had to exchange it). This lens cap is the same circumference as the one B+W ships with the above mentioned 77mm CPL, but the lip is about 2x longer. This means that the cap covers the entire depth of CPL with room to spare, in my case continuing on to cover up nearly half of my step-up ring. It fits snugly over the filter and will not come off unless I take it off. The cap B+W includes is almost useless since it only covers up about 2/3 of the filter and frequently falls off when doing things as innocuous as picking up the camera. Note: This review likely applies to how it would work with other bands/types of 77mm slim filters, but I cannot speak specifically to those.
