Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the Oben ACM-2400 4-Section Aluminum Monopod sturdy enough for a pair of them to be used as walking sticks as well? My wife had a knee replacement but wants to get out and hike and take photos. She has a pair of collapsible walking sticks (somewhere buried in our garage), but monopods would certainly expedite our photography if they are strong enough to serve double-duty. Thank you for sharing your experience with this monopod!

A: I would say yes as long as she needs a little help and if it's for a short distance. I can place my bracket, canon 5d m3 & 70-200 lens on top of this baby but if I push down hard enough it will lower (a lot of force). It is very sturdy. I'd recommend going on a short adventure, use them and let her test the weight of the monopod and comfort of use as a walking stick. Good Luck!

Q: 2. does this model accept the folding legs of the 2400l model?

A: No, the legs are only for the Oben ACM2400L monopod.

Q: 3. Does this have a bowl too? Looks like one of the pictures shows the flat section comming out and a bowl underneath, but what size is it? 75mm? 100mm?

A: Yes, this does have a bowl. It is designed to work with heads like the CAME-TV M8 Fluid Bowl Head with Dynamic Balance and Handle, B&H # CATPM8, which has a 100mm ball. https://bhpho.to/2VULXg6

Q: 4. Is it possible to remove the legs from the bottom cap, or purchase a bottom cap without the legs?

A: The legs are stored inside the monopod and that acts as the cap for the bottom when you are not using the legs. It is best described on page 7 of the user manual: https://bhpho.to/2waKRWW

Q: 5. Why are there recent reviews on the Sirui W-2004 tripod?

A: The reviews are done by the public. We can't say for sure why they do or don't write a review. Sometimes no news is good news.

Q: 6. Will the Oben QRA-R2 Quick Release Assembly with RP-20 Plate fit this monopod?

A: Yes, you will be able to add BH #OBQRAR2 to this monopod. It is compatible.

Q: 7. What size is the bowl head?

A: This tripod has a 100mm bowl.

Q: 8. Somehow my mounting screw is gone from my monopod. Is there any way to purchase that part?

A: Please find the Oben Reversible 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 mounting stud at the following link: a href= http://bhpho.to/1DeGLoz target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1DeGLoz/a

Q: 9. is this a strong and durable tripod

A: This is a durable tripod capable of supporting up to 13 pounds.

Q: 10. Hello. I have the ACM2400 right now. Could I just purchase the 3 x feet assembly to make it ACM2400L? Or do I have to buy the ACM2400L to have the feet assembly?

A: You need to buy the acm2400L

[5.95 lb] My fault, but I did think it would be lighter than the metal version, which if it is, it is negligible.

[5.95 lb] Very sturdy seems well built and my initial impressions of it are very good. I would definitely buy this again.

[Aluminum] Great tripod with single level to lock/unlock the legs (one for each leg). I'm using this tripod with SmallRig DH-01 Fluid Head (purchased from B&H).
Total value is around $250 for carbon fiber video tripod and fluid head! It's better value than my Manfrotto carbon fiber camera tripod with no ball head.
Tripod is big and tall. It reaches very high. I'm 6'1 and feels like this one goes up to 7ft tall (well, maybe less). The center bowl works well with the fluid head.
Light, but sturdy/heavy duty.
Sometimes, you have to adjust the feet (to unfold), but it works fine as stabilizing the tripod.
Comes with a tripod bag with shoulder strap.
I have many SmallRig products, and so far, they are all in good quality. This tripod and fluid head are no exception with excellent value!

[Aluminum] I already had a Manfrotto fluid pan head, and these tripod legs are the perfect companion to it. It's much lighter than previous tripods I've used, while also being sturdier, quicker to adjust and it looks amazing. Would recommend!

[3/8"] Got this as an upgrade to my existing tripods and it's a great value. Rock solid, easy balancing, fluid leg extensions.

[3/8"] I'm new to video tripod, but this carbon fiber tripod is abut 1/2 the price of what I paid for my still camera tripod (without the ball head). Excellent value!!! I love the design of using one level lock for multiple section legs. It's very easy to expand/contract.
I'm using it with B&H purchased SmallRig DH-01 Fluid Head. Works great together.
The tripod reach very heigh. I'm 6'1 and the tripod rise far above my head.
Light and easy to carry around.
Like how they designed the foot so it can be changed to spikes by just removing end piece.
Comes with nice carrying bag.
Great video tripod.

[5.95 lb] So far, i'd rate this tripod as excellent. I cycled through several Sirui's including a few other brands while waiting on this one to come. Ultimately, I kept this one based on duty rating. it's heavy, but it's also not my hiker tripod. Seems very well made, locks are smooth, and very stable, especially with the bag hanging from the center column.
