A: Not recommended, the printheads are differently designed. This printhead is designed for UltraChrome aqueous inks only. You're risking damaging the printer & voiding the warranty.

Q: 7. Can I do double-sided printing with the P700?

A: The P700 does not have auto duplex printing. However, if you have a compatible 2 sided paper, you can print on one side, turn the paper over and print on the other side.

Q: 8. How does the P900 improve on the P800?

A: #1 The P900 has 10 inks adding the Violet Color to add better Pantone Colors. #2 Making separate print head channels for the Black Inks: Avoiding the issue of switching between the Photo Black & the Matte Black which was time consuming, wasting ink while flushing the head, & caused issues with the black ink system becoming faulty. #3 Much smaller in dimensional size while still handling the same paper sizes as the P800. #4 The P900 inks are only 50 ml compared to the 80 ml of the P800.

Q: 9. How would this be with photos? On matte, luster or canvas

A: This is more of a line art printer as prints such as blueprints. But it can still print a nice quality photo, the quality would not be as good as a printer with a higher amount of ink cartridges. This can print on different types of paper as long as they adhere to the following specs Media Sizes Input Tray 1: 8.27 x 11 to 11 x 17" / 21.01 x 27.94 to 27.94 x 43.18 cm

Q: 10. Does this printer have media tracking (specifically ink usage) like the Stylus 3880 printers?

A: Unfortunately no, that features seems to be reserved only for the 24 inch wide or larger models.

[Parts & Labor] I love the camera for the few times I have used it so far.. Got a good case, but am afraid of the leaf lens protector as well as anything that can happen to electronics. Since it is a contract with Canon directly I am comfortable with the purchase . 5

[Extended] This was My second DS80 printers and was bought to some extent as a backup. I had a problem with it after just a couple of months. DNP paid shipping both ways and fixed the problem promptly at No Charge. They offer to send an exchange refurbished unit next day air but I had them fix mine since it was so new. Their service is good but out of warranty is expensive. My other printer never given a problem in 1 and 1/2 years and is no longer in warranty so I was surprised to have a problem with the new one. 5

[Parts & Labor] I have yet to have an issue with my gear but I know that whenever I do, Canon will be there for me. As a Canon Professional, I rely on having gear that is always up and going. Should I have to send my gear in, they will fix it immediately and even send me a loaner. Anyone that is a professional, or even not... this is a must. Never leave home without insurance. This plan.. about $50, ... the replacement, over $400!!! Don't leave home without it. I highly recommend this add on. 5
