A: I use the RC6 with a 7D. I checked online and found yes the RC6 is great for the 80D. Put camera in self timer mode. If you need more than 30sec, disable the sleep mode too. A: The RC-6 remote control is compatible with the Canon 5D Mark IV but it cannot fire multiple cameras simultaneously because the remote must be aimed directly at the camera to trigger it.Enjoy,Paul

A: The button with trees is the autofocus button, the FN or function button can be assigned settings to mirror the P function on tour camera BUT only certain models and of course the big orange circle button is the trigger.

A: Unfortunately this is limited to 2 second delay or immediate shooting. The other option is to go with a wireless radio system like the Vello FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release linked here. https://bhpho.to/3o4aG14. This allows you to set any duration delay timer you wish.

Q: 10. Will this remote, make sure that I am in focus before shot is fired? I do a lot of self-portraits and want to make sure that this gadget will only fire when I am in focus before it goes off.

A: If your camera is set to One-Shot AF, when you press the shutter button on the Canon RC-6 Remote Control, the camera will first focus on the item on the focusing point chosen inside the camera's viewfinder, then it will release the shutter. It does not have a half-press function similar to the shutter button on the camera, so the camera will first focus, then capture the image as soon as the button is pressed (unless the remote is set to 2-Sec. Delay). If the camera is set to AF-C or AF-A focus modes, it is possible the camera will release the shutter without focusing, which is why One-Shot AF is recommended when using the Canon RC-6 for self-portrait usage needs.

[White] Using this on a DJI Phantom 2 controller, I found it a little bit of a fiddle to install - requiring three different Allen keys (3mm, 2.5mm and 1.5mm) which EVERY boy should have in his tool kit. In the same way, every boy should know how to use those keys and, using his eyes (his primary source of knowledge which solve 80% of all mechanical problems) should be able to install this so it works. It's very adaptable and, with the inner hole suitable for mounting this on a DJI controller, it provides adequate room for fingers - I mean, the last time I looked, the controls operate via fingers, not fists - and no, fists are not going to fit, but fingers do. If this is not deemed spacious enough, perhaps the pilots concerned should stick to something which requires whole hands: like digging in the garden or turning on taps. One does not need a wrench - just a bit of simple DIY fun and... think, when you get it right, you'll really impress the neighbours, the wife, the kids, the dogs and, of course, yourself. In addition, attach a monitor like the FlySight Black Pearl which is light enough and excellent enough (wih a compact battery) for FPV use. Of course an 8 television set with huge battery is going to be a problem, but then that has no place in an environment where a smaller monitor is all that is needed. Big may be better in the bedroom, but it's unnecessary here. At $$it's money well, and intelligently, spent. It works very well for me. 5

[White] We switched over to this Manfrotto LANC remote for filming hunts and it is an absolute game changer! All the controls are right at your thumb allowing you to engage the camera in any way you like while keeping your movement to a minimum. If you are filming hunts or filming wildlife, this thing is a necessity. 5

[White] This is a great little remote, and makes it easier to tweak the camera on the fly, especially if it suddenly loses its tracking, which can (and will) happen. I highly recommend getting it! 5
