Transmit lossless HD video up to 2500' with the Teradek Ranger Micro 2500 Wireless Receiver 3G-SDI HDMIfrom Teradek. Redesigned for broadcast, event, drone, and handheld applications, this receiver can receive up to 1080p60 video over a wide 4.9 to 6.4 GHz wireless range, including licensed and unlicensed bands in the 6 GHz U-NII 5 spectrum, and it can output up to 1080p60 video over HDMI or 3G-SDI with 10-bit HDR support. The receiver unit supports a powerful signal that can travel up to 2500' line of sight. It also features five external antennas.

When pairing with a Ranger transmitter, this unit can receive up to 1080p60 video alongside up to five other receivers, and it features built-in AES-256 encryption that protects your video from prying eyes. It can receive visually lossless video from any Ranger series receiver with zero delay. The receiver supports a desktop Launchpad software application or the Launchpad app for iOS or Android that easily connects via Bluetooth 5, which both provide a spectrum analyzer, channel selection tools, and remote configuration.

The unit is powered using a 2-pin DC input, and there are 1/4"-20 and M3 mounting threads to mount onto a variety of cameras, cages, or rigs.

[5.0 LE] The Elvid 3G-SDI to HDMI Micro Video Converter is one of those pieces of gear you don’t realize you need until you do. It’s such a convenient tool for anyone working with SDI equipment but needing to connect to HDMI gear like monitors or computers. I’ve used it to convert SDI signals from a camera to my HDMI monitor, and it’s super easy...just plug in, and you're good to go. It has worked flawlessly for me. What I appreciate most is how versatile it is. It supports up to 1080p60, so I’m getting crisp, broadcast-quality video every time. Plus, the SDI loop output is a fantastic bonus, letting me retain the option to still send out the signal SDI and not only HDMI. Whether you’re working with a 2nd monitor that is SDI or another SDI device, it keeps everything running smoothly. The power options are also a nice plus. If I’m somewhere with an AC outlet, it comes with an adapter. Or I can run it off my computer’s USB port, or any other device with a 5V USB output It’s nice to have that flexibility, especially on location. And speaking of locations, the compact and durable metal design makes it super portable. I can toss it in my gear bag without worrying about it getting banged up. And I love that it has a little blue light to let you know it is receiving power and is on. That is good information to have, especially when on location. [7 to 28 VDC] Picked up the Bolt 6 LT 750 Tx/Rx combo and needed an extra for the director's monitor. I can toss this on another SmallHD or even soft side it to the back of a giant 60 TV in video village for clients. Perfect addition to my setup for 2024. 5

[Yes] And this is painful to pay for. These just work and they are built like a tank. The battery plate for the transmitter is horrible (Teradek, fix that design please). I had an old Hollyland 600 kit and I sold it. These are fantastic. I will say, if you can get away with using the Hollyland Mars 4k kit you will be happy. I just needed a little more range, but I was always happy when we use the Mars 4k at work. 5

[SMPTE 424M] I recommend updating firmware before using. The latest firmware is not installed on your new Bolt 6. I could not get the IOS App to recognize the units until I updated the firmware on both units. The units were paired out of box and work fine. The TX is small and light. The RX is also light but if you add the Teradek Gold or V mount battery plates the RX, it gets considerably heavier as they are made of metal. I have ordered the H antennas for this unit which will improve short range connection and stability in demanding situations. Overall, these units are a big improvement over their previous models. It would have been nice if Teradek would have included the tiny hex wrench needed to remove the antennas. Only step up from here is the 12G version at twice the price. 5

[5.0 LE] I got my hands on the DJI transmitter and receiver and tested it for a few days. Really ran it's through it's paces and tried to lose signal. It performed very well. However, if I ever wanted to expand my wireless network by renting more receivers, I'd be screwed in my area cause no one has the DJI setup. Teradek's Bolt 6 has been a major upgrade from the previous generations of Teradeks I've used over the years and I really like their build quality. Very solid and the antenna protection is a very nice touch. As long as you aren't trying any funny business with the antenna and keep them propped vertical (unless you change to a few H antenna) it works really well. All in all, I DID obviously go with Teradek but they should be mindful as the DJI setup is great too. But I went with the Teradek because it's proven and expandable with rentals in my area.
