The AX-Edge comes with an extra Edge Blade in the box (a silver Edge Blade for the black model and a gold Edge Blade for the white) and you can even create your own original designs. Create a look that complements your band's style or swap out Edge Blades to keep things fresh.

The onboard sounds are optimized for stage performance to produce sounds that cut through, even in a loud band. Dedicated buttons for favorite sounds give you instant access to edgy leads, big fat basses, and all manner of keyboard sounds perfect for the performing keytarist, whether it's taking a solo or sharing the limelight with your bandmates. If you like to customize your sounds, you can connect to the AX-Edge Editor app with Bluetooth MIDI and tweak your sounds wirelessly. Splits and layers let you take full advantage of the full-sized keyboard, and a slew of built-in effects, including a master compressor and EQ, give you polished tone in any venue. Thanks to the Tone Remain function, you can switch sounds seamlessly on stage without notes or effect tails being cut off prematurely.

The AX-Edge's neck controls, refined over years of development and artist feedback, are highly intuitive and truly take your performance to another level. While your right hand will appreciate the velocity-sensitive keyboard, your left hand will benefit from the modulation bar, pressure-sensitive pitch ribbon, and easy-to-reach controls for portamento, hold, octave switch, and program change. If desired, many controls can be reassigned to functions that perfectly suit your performance style.

An innovative dual-display system keeps you in command at all times, while the on-board arpeggiator and song player can handle backing duties while you concentrate on your performance. The built-in vocoder, which can be layered with internal sounds, is just the thing for unique backing vocals or funky, retro lead parts.

[None] The microKORG is so very versatile, integration into any set up is simple and full of satisfaction. I use the microKorg as an integral piece in my Recording Studio, MPC/APC Production Station and my DJ System as well. So, I have two of these and a third available for my use any time. If you Create Music the microKorg is an Invaluable tool. Dub Step, Techno, Hip Hop and Electronica producers Get one. Great for movie sound producers. The QUALITY is top of the line every time. Awesome is as awesome does. Dno Bravo

[None] I use the JD-Xi to compose music rather than play live or jam. Although all the demo patches are of the EDM genre, the device is capable of so much more. It is wonderful for generating ideas quickly using the loop sequencer. The JD-Xi is not hard to learn, even though a fair number of functions require some shallow menu-diving (all parameters are immediately below the menu sections). Mercifully, each menu section remembers the last parameter you tweaked and brings it up first, which is a nice touch. Most importantly, there is a stunning variety of current and retro electronic sounds in this box. The drums are samples, but you have so much control over each drum sound when creating a kit that you'll be blown away. The other three parts (it's 4 part multitimbral) are true synthesizer engines, one analog (simple but nice), and two digital (very, very deep). Listen to some of the demos online to see if the sounds are in your wheelhouse. My main complaint is the lack of swing quantization (AKA, shuffle or groove) in the built-in sequencer. Most beats I naturally play have swing to them, and they don't sound right after quantization. There is no option to turn off quantization. My favorite beats so far have been made by setting the steps-per-bar to 12 (triplets). This can give beats a swing-like feel. Of course, if you use an external sequencer (the JD-Xi makes a great 4-part sound module), you can swing all you want. This is my first Roland instrument, and I have to say, I think the JD-Xi is destined to become a classic (like my MicroKorg). If you do your research and like what you see in the demos, I think you'll be very happy with it.

[None] I bought this for my son who has finished high school and is now entering college as a music major. He writes some pretty incredible songs using this synth for effects. He's very happy with it.

[1000 mA] At the price point I believe this is the best midi keyboard. It has a minimal design, without too many knobs or pads. And the keys feel great compared to other keys at this price point. Perfect for the musician who just wants the best keys possible at an attractive price point. To my knowledge there isn't anything that comes close to this at under 200. When this was made, it had all the best features. I would like them to add blue tooth, I think all midi controllers should have this now. ( That being late 2016, but at the time this was designed it was not common. ) Also you have to install the firmware to make it work correctly, which seems unnecessary. And the infrared controller is not super useful, I'd rather have an xy touch pad. While the infrared controller can work, the resolution is not great enough to be as useful as other inputs at this price point. Maybe if they replaced the sensor with a more accurate way to interact with no touch then it could be more interesting. In summary, I wish I was buying this exact version but released in 2016 with blue tooth and a more useful input than than the infrared sensor. But I'm still buying this, because there is nothing better in terms of how the keys play and feel. It has the perfect weight. And you really don't want fully weighted keys unless they are perfect. To me these keys feel perfect.

[Synth-EX] I have been using Roland synthesizer since the 1980s. I am a hard to convince consumer when it comes to analog modeling and this one is probably some of the best I've heard from Roland. The ability to stack all of your different synthesizer models on top of one another is amazing. it's very convincing and is just gorgeous sounding. The keyboard feels good and the flow is incredible with all of the polyphony it sounds huge!

[USB flash drive] I'm new to the world of synthesizers. I decided to start my journey with the SH-01A because of its compact form factor and straight forward design. I paired it with the Roland K-25m keyboard, which was really easy to setup.

I also love that this synth is usb powered and can run off 4 AA batteries. It offers more than enough features to be enthralled with the vast array of audio possibilities.

[None] If you love the Juno series, this has all of them and yes it sounds just like the old ones. Its buit tough, the action is great. Building your own sounds is very adictive, easy and once get used to the layout and menus its easy. I love all the customisable buttons and sliders on the left. The knobs and sliders are silky smooth and tough. The sounds are very lush and full, the effects are good, but not perfect, the reverb is basic, but its smooth. The delay is very nice and so is the drive. It was easy to update the firmware all you need is a thumb drive. If you want that Juno sound and dont want to risk getting an original, this will do nicely.
