The rotating lever provides a robust clamp mechanism that secures the legs and prevents them from slipping once locked. The single lever on each leg allows you to quickly lock the leg height without having to use two levers, making for a quicker workflow and sparing you from having to bend down to open a bottom leg lock to raise the legs.

The legs feature spiked feet that provide solid purchase in soft surfaces, the included mid-level spreader allows you to use the legs on uneven surfaces, and the rubber feet allow you to shoot on hard/delicate surfaces.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this item come with a pan handle or do you have to purchase it separately?

A: it comes with the pan handle

Q: 2. Can the head be removed if I want to replace it with another head and/or mount a slider on it?

A: Yes it can! I do so frequently to either use a different head or use the head of the tripod with another rig.

Q: 3. What is the length of this tripod when collapsed?

A: 32.5" is the collapsed size.

Q: 4. is the middle spreader prone to breakage? or is it completely stable even at widest point?

A: We have not heard of any particular issues regarding breakage of the spreader. Stability would be another matter but no issues there that we know of either.

Q: 5. I have purchased this product and only used it 4 times. It is almost an outstanding product except for couple issues which makes it useless for video. In your advertisement it says With variable fluid drag on both pan and tilt, you can adjust the fluid head to suit your shooting style or the needs of the shot. Untrue there is only variable fluid drag adjustment on tilt and not on pan. To make matters worse upon purchasing the tripod in February the fluid drag was notably less than tilt even when tilt is set at the lowest setting. I have not used the tripod in months and I just used it again in the summer heat of about 85 degrees F and there is only a slight amount of pan fluid drag compared to tilt fluid drag a number of times more. The difference is so extreme it is useless for video since it is so easy by error to pan it you I try to tilt it. When I use long lenses such as 400mm and 1250mm I use a rubber band on the pan arm but it is impossible to gently tilt without it panning. Using the pan lock as a brake does not work. I went back to using my 10 year old Velbon leaking PH-368 tripod head and tripod of which results in much better video. I contacted B&H and it was beyond exchange time and they said to email the E-Image company for warranty. I emailed them and never heard back and sending a product to China for warranty I won't do to lack of recourse if I never get it back. So now the question is do you have a drawing break down for the fluid head to see if I can disassemble it to increase the fluid drag? Another issue though more minor is the counter balance spring is not preset to place the sliding plate mount level but rather it measures angled up at about 20 degrees. This can be corrected by sliding the camera plate all they way forward except if the lens and camera combination is too light with the plate all the way forward it still tilts upward. A very minor issue is the spring loaded hook fell off though it does not matter since I never used it anyway.

A: It is most unfortunate that you have had this negative experience. This is of course not what we at B&H wish for our customers.B&H can only offer is return or exchange on items purchased within 30 days. After that, we must suggest that you contact the manufacturer for we do not have repair facilities. You might try contacting ikan for they also handle the E-Image line of tripods.Email: support@a href= http://ikancorp.com target= _blank ikancorp.com/a or call (713)272-8822.

Q: 6. It is written that it comes with mid-spreader with rubber foot, but I don't see it in the picture. Could you confirm it?

A: The mid-level spreader, ground-level spreader and rubber feet are all included with the E-Image Two-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod.

Q: 7. I bought this a while back. The pan movement is always jerky at the start of the pan. Why is that?

A: For help trouble shooting your product please email us directly at askbh@bhphoto.com.

Q: 8. Can the ball be removed and turn this into a flathead to fit on monopods?

A: No. If you are looking for this kind of option you can purchase the GHO3F.

Q: 9. Does it come with the handle for panning and tilting? I noticed that the handle is listed as an accessory and is not listed on the whats in the box portion.

A: Yes Shopper, it is included.

Q: 10. What is the purpose of the spring loaded hook on one of the legs?

A: to hold the legs closed tight when not in use. very useful when moving around.best.eduardo

[30.5 x 8.1 x 8"] I'd say it's worth getting, fluid head is smooth so far w/ the tests I've been putting it through, the bag it comes with was WAY better in quality than I expected. Secure latch and lock. Leg release latches are simple and make set up and break down way easier!

[75 mm Bowl] I've been using Manfrotto fluidheads for over a decade but needed something cheeper. This tripod is as good or better than my Manfrottos. A little heavier because of the large aluminumm build, so if you need to haul this over distances I would splurge on the carbon fiber one. Excellent fluid head with proper tension adjustments for tilt and pan (not found in cheeper models) though I wish there were more steps in the tension nob. my favorite quality is the single lock legs. No need ot fuss with a lock on each leg stage, just twist the single lock on each leg and it releases all the stages.

[75 mm Bowl] We use these at my church and they have been a true work horse. We often take these to film outside of church. The bag is very handy, easy to setup and smooth movement.

[Aluminum] I am shooting a week long doc and needed 3 more tripods. I have a Sachtler Flowtech 75 and love it. So I bought 3 more. I have a Sachtler FSB-8 head on my original Flowtech 75. But buying three of these heads would break the bank. And because the GH06 head alone costs the same as this GH06/tripod combo (and because 3 combos cost less than one FSB-8) , I bought 3 combos.
I can't be happier. I simply cannot believe how smoothly this head pans. For the money, it is amazing. For twice the money, it would still be great.
In addition, the supplied plate both snaps and slides onto/into the head, similarly to the Kessler quick release system. So while I had planned on using Kessler receivers & plates, I don't need to. And the E-Image plates have a better designed set of attachment screws and pins.
Highly recommended.

As for the tripods, to be honest, I've given them away to a friend just starting out. Not because they aren't good. They're actually well designed, including that the adjustment knobs are located at the top of the tripod for easy access. But I just don't need any more extra gear hanging around.

[30.5 x 8.1 x 8"] Have purchased 2 already and planning to purchase 4 more for our church live streaming services. Using the Panasonic AJ-PX270 cameras and love the smoothness of the head presets. Position 3 and 4 are as smooth as butter. These presets are perfect when dealing with learning volunteers as once it is set, no one has to change the preset.

Great job!

[3] I was hoping for something comparable to a 504 for a lower price, but this is even better, in terms of overall quality and my needs. Solid, rigid, sticks with all metal everything, except the removable hard rubber feet.
The single release for two stages takes a bit of getting used to but it’s much faster to adjust three knobs than six. The head is equally solid, smooth, well machined, and easy to balance. The bag is not quite as rugged as Manfrotto’s, but still looks very durable and the tripod is well protected.
So far I’ve used it to shoot an indie action/drama with lots of exteriors as well as tight interiors and it’s served me well.
