  • Unlike hard plastic mounts, The Windbubble PRO's soft rubber mount absorbs shocks and stops vibrations transferring to your mic's capsule.
  • In addition, the rubber mount has a slight, conical shape inside, which prevents you to push your microphone too far into the windshield. This is very important to ensure that your microphone has a "bubble" of dead-air around the capsule for optimal wind protection and audio clarity.
  • This means that your mic will consistently stay in the best possible position inside the windshield, making it possible to engineer a smaller, overall profile for the Windbubble PRO without compromising on the efficacy of the wind protection.

  • The rubber mount holds the furry windshield firmly in place on your mic, making sure it doesn't slip off mid-shoot.

  • The Windbubble PRO utilizes the company's multi-pile faux fur specially designed with varying lengths of fur to help gradually slow down the wind before reaching the mic.
  • The base of the fur has a higher density of shorter hairs and an acoustically transparent backing material for maximum frequency transparency.
  • The mic's capsule is kept in a calm bubble of wind protection and allowed to perform at its best.
  • The Bubblebee fur is less shiny than others to better blend with skin, clothes, and other surrounding materials.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Whats a good mixer thats goes with this system?

A: I bought the Behringer XR18. You use your ipad or tablet with it. That's what the salesperson at Sound Ideas in Columbus, Ohio recommended. Hope this helps.

Q: 2. Which size works with a Sennheiser ME-2? (Medium or Large)

A: Large

Q: 3. Can the presenter move around a little bit from the microphone and still get good quality recording to the camera?

A: This mic must be used with Rode's RX-CAM recorder. For quality pickup, the presenter does need to be consistently speaking within 3-6 inches of the microphone. Beyond that, it will be hard to hear the presenter.

Q: 4. do i need to get a receiver separately for this or it comes with one?

A: The RODE Interview PRO Wireless Handheld Condenser Microphone is compatible for use with the RODE Series IV 2.4 GHz Receiver, which is included with the RODE Wireless GO II, RODE Wireless ME, and RODE Wireless PRO Wireless Microphone Systems. The Interview PRO Microphone is sold as an optional add-on accessory for use with any of these systems.

Q: 5. Will this fit a Sennheiser MZH 3042?

A: The microphone capsules (ME-34, 35 and 36) are larger than 1/4" so this foam will not fit. This will fit: Sennheiser MZW34 Velour Windscreen for ME34 and ME35 Microphones B&H # SEMZW34: https://bhpho.to/36yMABp

Q: 6. How far from subject can mic be placed from subject before too much noise?

A: Hello Kevin, the TX-M2 transmitter operates up to 100 meters/328 feet. Note that this is under perfect conditions and best practices include good line of sight, limiting WIFI interference, and keeping a well charged battery.

Q: 7. Does this provide very excellent sound? I would like to use it for a 16-member choir, but it is utterly important that it be of the greatest quality. I understand that sound can be corded raw from the receiver into a mixing board to control sound, or that levels can be controlled right on the receiver, in essence "mixed before being corded out, and effectively bypassing the mixing board. Is that correct?

A: The receiver assembly has volume control knobs for each bodypack transmitter so that you can adjust the levels between the microphones. Connecting each output to a mixer would enable you to not only further control the level, but also adjust your EQ controls.

Q: 8. Is the desktop mic conference setup not offered thru BH Photo?

A: We do offer the VocoPro 16-Channel UHF Digital Wireless Conference System with 16 gooseneck desktop microphones which you can find as B&H # VODIGCNF16.

Q: 9. Can all 16 microphones be used at the same time? Can you change the frequency for each mic, if needed to stay away from other wireless (handheld) mics we already use for music during worship? Can I return the system if it has interference problems at our church? We have tried several other brands with interference problems in the past.

A: The VocoPro Hybrid-Play-16 is a fixed channel system operating in the 900 Mhz range. Operating frequencies are not adjustable. This item can be returned within 30 days of purchase with all packaging and documentation.

Q: 10. How do I register my system? Where is the serial number located on the product?

A: You can register your system here: http://www.vocopro.com/registration.php

[Tan/Beige] We are a pro film company based in Oklahoma where the wind is a constant 15 to 20 mph making it impossible to record audio with a lapel microphone. This mini wind screen makes it easy to record in very windy situations. I have 4 of these and use them daily with COS-11 microphones. I highly recommend these.

[2 x 1.6 x 1.55"] fits well, they actually have different colors on Bubblebee website, i just wanted them black, and delivered quickly. (Bubblebee is from Denmark if i'm not mistaken). Solid lav windjammers, can't go wrong. it was a bit of a hassle to get them in, but once you figure it out they're golden.

[Tan/Beige] These fit very snug onto my DPA4060s no problems (without the grill) and the little air pocket, means the actual microphone can survive wind blowouts. Great for outdoor field ambience recordings for example. For film sets, it is too bulky to conceal on an actor but can occasionally be used in a plant mic set up, where something is obscuring the fluffy from the camera.

[0.035 lb] works well. cuts most wind noise. a little fidly to get on but other than that it's perfect.

[0.035 lb] These are *much* better than any foam windscreen I've witnessed. I use it on an exterior deck of a ship while cruising through a bay, with wind noise that makes a normal foam windscreen useless. I would say this cut the wind noise by 90%. There is no comparison. I've got one for each of my headset mics, and will be getting spares.
The strings on the windscreen are just to help you place it over the mic element. The hole in the windscreen is elasticized.
*Looks* like most other furry windscreens: *sounds* totally different.
Highly recommended!
