A: Hi,Some adapters wouldnt let you focus far away (infinity) - only shorter distances. Putting it simply, this one lets you focus any distance.Depth of field isnt affected - you set that manually on your lens.The adapter works fine - havent had trouble with it. Mine has no chip, so I do everything manually. Good luck!
