Polymaker PolyTerra PLA Filament 1.75mm 3kg Cotton Whitefrom Polymaker PolyTerra PLA Filament 1.75mm 3kg Cotton Whiteis a PLA-based 3D printing filament designed with a focus on being environmentally friendly. It's made to deliver high printing quality and speed while being easy to use and reliable. It's made with a material from Polymaker called Fully Bio Compound (FBC), which is a compound of PLA bioplastic and a bio-composite. Polymaker offers it as a cost effective and eco-friendly solution. Polymaker also emphasizes that PolyTerra PLA can easily be removed.

PolyTerra PLA filament is compatible with most of the printers available on the market. Examples include the Ultimaker, Flashforge, Snapmaker, LulzBot, Raise3D, Flsun, Artillery, Anycubic, Creality, and more. For best printing results, it's recommended to print PolyTerra PLA in temperatures between 374 to 446°F.

PolyTerra PLA can be printed at a wide range of speeds. Polymaker recommends speeds between 30 and 70mm/s, but they have successfully tested it on some printers at speeds up to 140mm/s.

If your printer has a direct-drive extruder, the recommended retraction distance is 1mm and the retraction speed is 20mm/s. If your printer has a Bowden extruder, the recommended retraction distance is 3mm and the retraction speed is 40mm/s.

PolyTerra PLA degrades under the specific conditions of industrial composting, namely, at certain temperatures and humidity with the presence of micro-organisms. The degrade rate will depend on the size and thickness of the printed part.

Due to Polymaker's heat treatment of the filament, PolyTerra PLA can withstand temperatures of 212°F. However, the printed PolyTerra PLA parts can only withstand temperatures up to 140°F because the crystallinity of the filament changes during the printing process. To glue PolyTerra PLA parts together, common glues used for PLA parts can be used. Polymaker suggests cyanoacrylate glue (superglue) as generally the best choice.

Is PolyTerra PLA food safe? Compliant with RoHS directives 2011/65/EU and (EU) 2015/863, and REACH regulation, PolyTerra PLA does not contain toxic or harmful substances. However, the printed PolyTerra PLA parts might have micro-cracks and holes which are invisible to the naked eye even though the prints look smooth. Bacteria are prone to grow in these micro-cracks and holes, so it is not recommended to use the printed parts in food contact applications.

For more information, please check out the below print settings and other properties, which are based on the use of a 0.4mm nozzle and the Simplify 3D v.3.1 printer.

A: Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-1 will work while biking and will be able to hold a Nikon Z9 with a Nikon 24-70 lens.

Q: 2. Will this work with a R5 with battery grip and L bracket?.

A: For any camera to fit this Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-2, the Cotton Carrier Universal Hubless Adapter Plate, BH # CO766NHP is required. Whether it can work with your set up depends on the actual L-bracket being used, as not all have a 1/4" female thread at the bottom. https://bit.ly/3D9U153

Q: 3. Is it possible to purchase the universal binocular bracket to be used later on the Cotton Carrier CCS G3 with 2 cameras?

A: Yes the Cotton Carrier Everything Bracket that fits binoculars can be purchased here separately: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1527856-REG

Q: 4. Would this work for carrying my Canon C200 (without the handle) and with 24-105L lens?

A: Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-1 (Gray) BH #CO686GREY will work for carrying the Canon C200 (without the handle) and with Canon 24-105 f/4 L lens.

Q: 5. It sounds like multiple people have had their camera dislodge from the side holster when stooping or kneeling. Has anyone come up with an effective work-around (e.g., a safety tethering strap)?

A: No, Cotton Carrier has not made a tether that works with the Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-2 (Realtree Xtra Camo)

Q: 7. What is the maximum torso adjustment? (Chest size?)

A: There is not a max and min torso adjustment size, but for the waist, it is 26" to 57".

Q: 8. I am 6'8" and wondering about positioning and length of the vest and the comfort whether it should ride higher or lower?

A: The most comfortable way to use the Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Harness-1 (Gray) would depend on your specific body proportions and your personal taste.

Q: 9. I'm 5'4 female with a Nikon D810 and 500mm lens. Will this work on a Botswana safari where the vehicles are open and a bean bag would be useless and a monopod might be difficult?

A: I am 5'4 and have a nikon D750. I used the vest on a recent trip to the arctic. It was wonderful for securing the camera with the 70-200mm lens when I was getting in and out of the zodiac boats or when we were in rough waters and it takes the weight of the camera off your neck when you are out shooting for hours. The steady shot was an okay replacement for a tripod in tight or rough shooting conditions, but it is subject to the movement of your body. Use a fast shutter speed and a high ISO and you will need to keep your hands on the camera, especially with a big lens. I haven't tried it with my 500mm lens as I just bought that one.

Q: 10. Will the harness fit over a kayak pfd?

A: I highly doubt it, unless the pfd is slim design.

[PLA] Polymaker is one of the best filaments out there and for sure the best company out there I can think of. They do so much good for the community so I'm always more than happy to support them any way I can.
This stuff prints like a dream.

[1.75 mm] Although the amount of material is reasonable, a variety of colors are not included, like blue and black.

[PLA] This took two spools of yellow to create this basketball size Pac Man for my front yard garden. This yellow PLA turned out great and has weathered for about 6 months with no discoloration.

[1.75 mm] This filament definitely works at the higher speeds however there are some drawbacks to those higher speeds, including error rate and adjustments. I've gone through a couple rolls now, just trying to get the settings right but it does absolutely work well and fast, as it says, using all the stock settings, very impressive.

[PLA] This stuff is impressive. It has a much higher tolerance for printing fine pieces. Its sand-able and workable and much more rigid than PLA. It does have some issues I'm finding joints aren't as well supported because of the fiber content versus plastic but once I engineer the model to accommodate, it works amazingly well.

[PLA] This PLA filament is well made and highly versatile. I use it in my Dremel DigiLab 3D45 printer to print copies of ancient artifacts, such as Egyptian, Greek and Roman statues and busts, bas reliefs, steles, and even Babylonian cuneiform tablets. Important qualities of this filament include: consistent thickness, strength, and RFID recognition of the filament type to assure the right extruder and baseplate temperatures for printing. I prefer white filament over translucent, black and other color filaments, as it is easy to the resulting product for sanding and painting. The price point for the PLA filament is good and it is vacuum packed with desiccant for increased storage life.

[1.75 mm] This gold is the same as any other, the color is vibrant and the silk effect works well. Polymaker tends to be my go-to for these types of base material colors because the material works well, and I have the least number of issues for the price point.

[PLA] This material is one of my hands down favorites. The color intensity is truly a charcoal black. To me, it beats all other silk materials because of its light diffusing properties. Its rough to the touch and doesn't have the dry time CF does. Fantastic material and I will keep buying it again and again
