This dynamically wide TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens Leica Lfrom TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens Leica Lis a lens that fills the image area of an ASP-C image sensor from corner to corner, but also acts as a circular fisheye when used on a full-frame format image sensor. When used on a full-frame image sensor camera, the circular fisheye image is heavily vignetted on all four corners. The included front cap has a unique design that crops slightly further into the image area to create a fully circular image with a cleaner perimeter. The lens design renders a 180° angle of view to produce a distinct visual appeal characterized by dramatic distortion and a creative depiction of space, which helps to make wide and innovative landscape and interior photos. The characteristic fisheye distortion and close 4.9" focus distance also lends itself to surreal and exaggerated portraiture and close-up photography.

NOTE: This lens is fully manual and does not support electronic communication with the camera body.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just received says it is compatible with the Canon EOS M6 Mark II. It is not... correct?

A: This lens is compatible with the Canon EOS M6 Mark II. If the camera is not allowing you to take a photo you need to set the camera to take a photo without a lens in the camera menu.

Q: 2. will this fit a nikon z6?

A: The TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens with ND1000 Filter for Nikon Z will fit and work on the Nikon Z6. The lens is made for APS-C sensor so you will get a cropped image or a lot of vignette.

Q: 3. I'm interested in a Fuji version. Does this include a ND filter? It is not listed in the what's in the box description.

A: The TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens (FUJIFILM X) does not include an ND filter.

Q: 4. I'm interested in the Canon EOS R mount version to use with a Canon EOS R5. I know there is no electronic communication between the lens and the camera but does it work in full frame mode or does it trigger the 1.6 crop?

A: It will not automatically trigger the 1.6x crop-mode. You will have to do it manually via the Canon EOS R's menu. You can use it in either mode. In full-frame, it will give a circular fisheye and in 1.6x you'll get a 180-degree diagonal fisheye that fills the frame.

Q: 5. Is the rear filter proprietary? Will there be other densities available?

A: The ND filter is proprietary and custom made by TTartisans. At the moment they don't offer any ND filters separately or have any other densities available at the time of this reply.

Q: 6. What focal range does this cover?

A: The TTArtisan Viewfinder for Leica M is a 11mm viewfinder without grid lines. It is designed for use as an optical viewfinder when using the TTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 Lens.

Q: 7. Hi. In terms of sharpness, how does it compare to the rokinon and the 7 artisans 7.5mii?

A: It is a matter of opinion but I cannot tell a difference in optical quality between the lenses. However, this TTArtisan has the rear ND filter while while the other does not.

Q: 8. Is this a circular or full field fisheye lens?

A: On a micro four thirds camera TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens is a full field fisheye.

Q: 9. Is this fit Sony A6700?

A: Yes, the TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens (Sony E) is compatible with Sony E-mount cameras with APS-C sensors such as the Sony a6700 Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 10. Does the lens come with the nd 1000 filter? If not, what is the front thread diameter for the Sony E mount one?

A: The TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens (Sony E) no longer comes with the ND filter. TTArtisan has discontinue this accessory. The back threads can only have a 26mm outer thread, and the connection for the filter is proprietary, therefore, you cannot connect standard filters.

[Manual Focus] I didn't even expect such high manufacturing quality, as well as the image quality produced by this lens, for such a low price. Excellent sharpness, unusual distortions. The aperture and focus rings are a bit stiff, some flares when direct sun. But overall, 5 stars.

[APS-C] I've had this lens for over a year now and absolutely love it! One of my go to lenses!

[7] I tested this lens against the old Fisheye-Nikkor 16mm f/3.5(on a FTZ adapter) using a Z7II. Aside from the very slightly wider angle of view compared to the old 16/3.5, the image quality of the TTArtisans 11mm/2.8 fisheye was largely indistinguishable between the 2 lenses. To the casual user (me), the projection *looks* the same, so maybe the old Nikon 16/3.5 uses stereographic projection like this TTArtisans is reputed to? Lens seems heavy because it's all metal/glass. Focus is stiff, which I prefer, but it might get stiffer in cold temperatures which would not be good. The non-linearly marked aperture ring is non-detented, which I don't prefer, but is adequately stiff so accidental changes to aperture will hopefully be avoided. I had to add a couple of pieces of gaff tape to the inside of the lens cap; it was too loose as came new.

[180°] Loved the TTArtisan 21mm f1.5, can you believe that. This is a heavy, great build quality and with 1/2 stops between each stop on the aperture ring. Leica L mount went right on the S5 - lens will be great for videography and photography. The price is very good, I am not disappointed in any way so far. It was a good buy.

[Manual Focus] This is an incredible ultrawide angle lens! The corners are sharp enough, and the coma is minimal for how fast this thing is.

Most professional reviewers used the Leica M Mount version of this adapted to Sony E, which introduces significant coma and a loss of sharpness (Due to Sony E's filter stack). The Sony E Mount version is just wonderful, and is ideal for working indoors, as the lens is sharpest with the highest contrast at portrait distances.

Sharpness decreases at MFD, as well as at infinity, but by F/2.8, there's no spherical aberrations/glow to speak of. Shoot at portrait distances to really make the most of this thing!

There is some field curvature, but focus peaking makes this easy to get used to!

And for anyone curious: This lens is sharper at F/1.5 than most vintage lens are at F/5.6. It's incredible! Blows away my Tokina, Tamron, and Olympus ultrawides. If you're looking for vintage color, build quality, and handling, but want modern sharpness and image quality, then this is my recommended choice. Infact, this lens is cheaper than most ultrawide vintage lens, despite being new with superior optics!

[L-Mount] The uploaded image did not publish in the previous review....

Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix S5 in Panoramic Format 2-1 Aspect Radio. The TTArtisan 11mm 2.8 offers excellent colours, contrast & sharp images for an ultra wide lens at this price point.

[7] Nothing wrong with the lens...set the sensor to 1:1 and vignetting is gone. Good colour.
